- the progressives are opposed to twice-yearly reports on the New West reconciliation work

I think this is what’s bothering me: he calls himself an “Indigenous person of Metis heritage” which he only got in 2020 but then got thrown out for not actually bringing this “thoughtful perspective and understanding” to the BC Metis.

“Heritage” lamp standards sure get a lot of his time tho.

Yes here it is a 💯 indigenous owned business that can JV with other private sector companies to get grant money:
Councilor Daniel Fontaine’s company MICHIFCO.ca website states that the company is 100% “indigenous owned” and they offer a service to get grant money for settler JV projects.

OK here’s what’s weird about this story because no journalists seem to be interested in #NewWest.

Daniel Fontaine gets hired by Métis Nation of BC *after* they give him his Metis identity and then they say he isn’t “Métis enough”. Something smells off about this whole thing. Digging, digging…
