Let's be real the biggest issue with Bluesky is that phenomenological experience can only be shared between humans via imperfect language and metaphor but somehow adding a dislike button is a higher priority for the devs smh

Oh wow I guess now that they've found the head honcho at the top of Antifa's rigid organizational hierarchy it'll be simple enough for the Antiantifa folks to find all the card-carrying members of the group and bring them to swift justice

🫠
🚨 Documents leaked to me reveal a federal watchlist of American protesters suspected of being Antifa - including its supposed leader.

One Department of Homeland Security document says a 29-year-old resident of Portland "is the leader of Antifa":

Feds Identify “Leader of Antifa”
The list they're creating says so, anyway

DHS said that the woman CBP shot in the chest in Portland was “involved” in a gang shooting.

Her ~involvement~ was that suspected gang members sexually assaulted and robbed her.
After Border Patrol shot two people in Portland, DHS claimed they were "vicious gang members" tied to a past shooting.

But records I obtained reveal a US prosecutor has since directly contradicted DHS, saying, "We're not suggesting he is a gang member." My dive into how DHS' claims have collapsed:
DHS’s account of two Venezuelans shot by border patrol falls apart in court: ‘A smear campaign’
Immigration officials said agent shot two ‘vicious gang members’ in Portland, but records obtained by the Guardian reveal US prosecutor contradicted claims

Christopher Nolan should have cast Helen of Troy the way the Greeks would have: by casting the most attractive young man in the company and giving him a really fuckable porcelain mask.

Having a WOMAN play Helen of Troy??? Talk about inaccurate. The Greeks would fucking riot.

A fundamental problem with this country is that you have less responsibility, transparency, and duty as you gain more power when it should be the opposite. The Supreme Court gets to be very secretive for no good reason. Cops get a monopoly on violence and have near total immunity when they use it.

Um gosh if only there were some term for people who support and praise state violence without actually putting on a bunch of tacticool gear and going out in the streets to effect it personally

I know we're not supposed to assume malice over incompetence but sometimes it is a mighty struggle like now when darvo seems to be official doj policy unless there's something I'm missing about the efforts to redact information about the suspects while carelessly putting victims in the line of fire
“A review of 47 victims’ full names on Sunday found that 43 of them were left unredacted in files that were made public by the government on Friday, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis. Several women’s full names appeared more than 100 times in the files. “

Ice ICE
I just got tear gassed along with thousands of union members, many of whom had their families with them. Federal agents at the ICE facility tear gassed children. We must abolish ICE, DHS, and we must have prosecutions. I expect to see enforcement of our city code prohibiting the use of tear gas.
