It's cool when a member of Congress says there's no point in standing up to the bully who is literally taking our tax money.

We do not have a federal government.

BIG NEWS: Congresswoman-elect Adelita Grijalva will finally be sworn in as a member of Congress tomorrow.

She is likely to be the 218th vote on the Epstein discharge petition, which would force a full vote to release the Epstein files in their entirety.

As the country celebrates its veterans and the service they provided, it’s worth noting that the current president is actively fighting to keep 1.2 million veterans from receiving their food benefits.

These self-important clowns are a stain on political discourse. Fortunately, most (alright, some) Democrats aren't falling for this anymore.

Loved it. Very brave of Kate to champion this movie. I knew who Lee Miller was, of course, but not all of her background.

For the record, it’s going to be a long while before my anger subsides at the Democrats who surrendered. They’ve made this fight harder. But I won’t allow my anger to distract from the necessary focus on Trump & the feckless Republicans who will exploit every weakness to intensify their demolition.

But seriously, I don't understand why there can't be a 007 James Bond and a new female 00 - they were heading in that direction in NO TIME TO DIE in any case. Plus, the UK has a deep bench of actresses who would be great in the role.

We're one step away from requiring first-time home buyers to sign up for a reverse mortgage.
NARRATOR: Neither of these things are really good ideas

One is the fruits of executive overreach that SCOTUS will hopefully strike down, in which case there will be no money to fund it

The other makes it even less likely most people will ever truly own a home while lining the pockets of big banks
QUINTANILLA: What's more likely -- a $2,000 tariff rebate check or a 50 year mortgage?

HASSETT: They're both really good ideas

A Republican sheriff in a swing county that Trump won by 0.1% signed a contract to help ICE, then lost last week by 11.

Voters Ousted This Pennsylvania Sheriff After He Signed Up to Collaborate With ICE - Bolts
A populous, swing county replaced its GOP sheriff on Tuesday after months of controversy over his joining ICE’s 287(g) program. The Democratic winner promises he’ll end the contract.

This seems like the most straightforward and also basically accurate message.
instead of saying this was good strategy, maybe senate dems should say: "the republicans were going to kill people by starving them to death, and because we aren't monsters, we decided to let this fight go. We'll keep fighting. Stop electing monsters."

True, but you have to be careful not to miss registration deadlines.
Also, I know this isn't special to NY but it's just more extreme here: we have some the best and worst Dems in the US. The primaries will be brutal. When canvassing, I feel better being able to tell folks I'm a registered Dem.
Alternatively, leave the democratic party and rejoin it before a primary if you want to vote in that primary. It’s not hard to register for a different party (in PA, at least). I refuse to let those corrupt, big-money-pandering, republican-light cowards count me as a member any longer.

That’s why these extremists haven’t done a damn thing to lower the high cost of living.

You deserve better.

Crazy idea: Why not, rather than spending $5 TRILLION dollars to pay for data centers to create fake brains, just pay actual human beings with real brains that same $5 trillion?

For the first time all year, Democrats were riding high and the regime was on the ropes.

If Senate leadership’s goal was to demobilize and depress rank-and-file Democrats, they could not have played their cards better.

This is why we’ve launched the largest primary program that we’ve ever run.
Democratic leaders have failed us again. It's time to get new leaders.
After yet another capitulation by Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats, it's clear we need new leadership capable of mounting a serious opposition to Trump's authoritarian regime. We're launching our la...

NO ONE takes Bond literally. Every new Bond starts fresh, so why not again? What must really causing anxiety is casting and tone.
This would be such an easy and fun reboot.

There is zero obstacle here. Only opportunity.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."
