It's cool when a member of Congress says there's no point in standing up to the bully who is literally taking our tax money.

We do not have a federal government.

every single successful general strike in US history has had union backing through the local AFL-CIO

this is the first time it’s been called for since the 1940s

Your solution is not violent enough.
We got the proof during that INVASION a few years back when Greg Abbot was screaming about the surge at the border. Border Patrol documents confirmed they were all people returning after their jobs dried up during the pandemic. No jobs, no flood of illegal immigrants to work them. But, no. More ICE!

You cannot "train" murderous, violent ICE agents not to be murderous and violent.

Bodycams will do nothing to stop this. The agent who killed Good PROUDLY RECORDED THE KILLING.

The entire agency must be defunded and abolished.

"Training" as "reform" would just give ICE more money to train its agents to maim and kill people.

Not a penny for ICE.

Claw back the current funding.

Defund and abolish.
The agent who killed Good *was a trainer*

The rot is *deep* in the barrel

Or - in the case of @schumer.senate.gov and @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social - wait for ICE to come to you.
👋🏼
Democrat leaders looking for "creative ideas" to fight ICE, I've got a crazy one called "go outside to where the shit is actually happening."

Here ya go. Brad Lander says abolish ICE. This is our guy, NY-10.
ICE must be abolished. It has become a lawless, rogue agency. Federal law enforcement agencies must follow the law, if they're going to have any credibility enforcing it.

We are demanding justice for Renee Good and the prosecution of ICE agent Jonathan Ross for her murder.

Here's @bradlander.bsky.social at that NO WARS NO KINGS NO ICE rally and march. Dan Goldman wasn't there. No, you don't have to show up at every march. But you DO have to say ABOLISH ICE. Vote for Lander, friends in NY-10.

Yes, voting against ICE funding is the morally right thing to do. But you can be the most heartless political consultant bastard out there - cutting ICE is still the smart play. That Schumer/Jeffries are silent right now is political malpractice (and morally reprehensible, if you care about that).
New poll from Navigator also with an incredible result; the largest drop in support for ICE since June was actually among *Republicans*, 25% of which now say they have an unfavorable opinion of the agency.

But if we want leaders who won’t let us down again and again, we have to put in the work. That’s why we’re running the largest primary campaign in our history. Pitch in if you can to help us build a better Democratic Party with authentic candidates and bold leaders capable of rising to this moment.

We need leaders who will stand up for American communities being terrorized by Trump’s fascist death squads. We need leaders who don’t have to consult poll-tested messaging to answer: “No, we shouldn’t be giving ICE more money to kill and brutalize innocent people.”

While we’re in the streets demanding ICE Out For Good, Democratic leaders are dodging questions about whether an agency that teargasses babies and kills innocent people should continue to have a budget bigger than most countries’ militaries. It’s pathetic.

New Yorker here and I’m not yelling. It’s been shown when you poll the issues without labeling D or liberal, people support the policies. Every election is unique and @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social win was certainly that. Combined these 2 factors & you have opportunities for those kinds of wins.
Lot of people are here to say “no, that can’t possibly work, because—-“ 🤐

Try it. States have primaries. Right now in 2026, with everything that’s happening, put up a candidate who campaigns like Mamdani, on positivity, inclusion, and concrete civic improvements. Let’s see.

Senate Democrats absolutely have to shut the govt down to stop this ICE insanity in the Twin Cities. This is not sustainable & cannot be normalized. Any Democratic vote to provide money to the thugs who are brutalizing this community is a grave betrayal to the people here. Accountability can't wait.
