Saint Paul schools will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday to prepare for optional online learning.

i think even with all the atrocities of the fascists, nothing is more demotivating and nothing makes me want to disengage from politics more than being inundated with replies from people who do not know how to think about politics beyond “dems good and wanting more from them is bad”

It doesn't happen as much as it used to, but sometimes Steph gets it going to a point where everything opens up for the Warriors offense and we get to see beautiful basketball.

Important to understand this. There's a reasonable chance that your Dem Senator who voted against it and is acting mad now was in on the play. It's the same reason why they scheduled the surrender for AFTER the election this week. They didn't want people pissed at Dems right before an election.
The caucus meeting was just to orchestrate who would fall on the sword but not be up for a vote in 2026.

The takeaway from this NYC mayor race is to have a vision and express it. Believe in something and fight for it. You have to be more than an empty suit running on a fear of Trump and trying to maintain a status quo that doesn't exist anymore.
