Important to understand this. There's a reasonable chance that your Dem Senator who voted against it and is acting mad now was in on the play. It's the same reason why they scheduled the surrender for AFTER the election this week. They didn't want people pissed at Dems right before an election.
The caucus meeting was just to orchestrate who would fall on the sword but not be up for a vote in 2026.

The takeaway from this NYC mayor race is to have a vision and express it. Believe in something and fight for it. You have to be more than an empty suit running on a fear of Trump and trying to maintain a status quo that doesn't exist anymore.

This is the kind of shit I've wanted to hear from Democrats. Now we need to see more action showing how they have realized that they need to change. Less talk about how they need to work for the average/poor person and more work. If democracy was really on the line in 24, start acting like it.
