Well, the settlement money has been announced. Each WORK that got thefted will be compensated $3k (split 50/50 bw publisher + author). So authors will be compensated $1500 per WORK stolen.

I suppose it makes sense that "Fuck the poor, I've got a plane to catch!" would be the bipartisan rallying cry to win over absolute shitheel senate Democrats. Of course, no consequences within the caucus for being a spineless turncoat; Schumer far too busy with book tours and big corporate donors.

I think the reason that chuck Schumer is folding is because the air traffic crisis is the first part of this that might actually effect him and his rich donors so he's folding after even a fraction of the suffering so many of the American people have felt this month
