"This could take down Democrats, too."

I know. And I frankly wouldn't give even an itty bitty damn if it implicated every Democratic man in Congress, every Democratic hopeful for 2028 and every Democrat who has even thought about running for office.

Down with the sex predators, wherever they are.

I realise society is crumbling around us but it still makes me crazy every time people use business baby talk like "take aways" or "leave behinds" or "learnings" with a straight face.

I do think "AI model parameters are just a lossy data encoding format" is a hugely underrated take. Even the people involved in building these things do not seem to realize how much data can be encoded (even without loss) with this many parameters bsky.app/profile/anth...
your honor, the user prompted the computer to unzip the archive, which was a statistical representation of the entire training folder.

any owner of a specific file within the zip has no claim against us, but only the user who opened it
“OpenAI argued its AI models didn’t store/copy specific training data but, rather, reflected what they learned based on the entire training data set. Since the output was generated as a result of user inputs (prompts), it wasn’t the defendants, but the respective user who would be liable for it.”

This is so fucking insulting. This is why you don't settle.
AUTHORS!!

Remember that case where a bunch of authors sued AI for stealing their work? And WON?

Well, the settlement money has been announced. Each WORK that got thefted will be compensated $3k (split 50/50 bw publisher + author). So authors will be compensated $1500 per WORK stolen.

The original Dem demands were:
1) Permanent ACA subsidies
2) Medicaid funding restored
3) No more blank checks for the regime (rescission)

They dropped Medicaid immediately. Went silent on rescission. Cut back to 1 year of subsidies on Friday. And surrendered today.

The Senate Democrats!

I suppose it makes sense that "Fuck the poor, I've got a plane to catch!" would be the bipartisan rallying cry to win over absolute shitheel senate Democrats. Of course, no consequences within the caucus for being a spineless turncoat; Schumer far too busy with book tours and big corporate donors.

I think the reason that chuck Schumer is folding is because the air traffic crisis is the first part of this that might actually effect him and his rich donors so he's folding after even a fraction of the suffering so many of the American people have felt this month

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.
