honestly its a fucking stellar bit of engineering work that atproto enables stuff like this. for you is up to like 10x this number of users and its still running on a desktop machine!
Right now For You serves ~5K daily users and 100K feed loads per day (1-2 QPS).
The feed runs on my desktop - AMD Ryzen 7900, 96GB RAM. I load tested in the past and it should be able to handle 60 feed loads per second (QPS). So there is ~30x room to grow on the current hardware.
