ok thank you for all being my unwitting beta testers. presenting date picker 2000
- now features a helpful assistant
- you can shuffle the positions of digits
- fixed quite a few css bugs, but I don't have android to test on so let me know if things are still wonky

ok so as much as I hate continuing this entire thing it is trivially easy to see what the scores are for this stuff because hive has a public website that will show you the scores

I took all 4 images that kicked off this thing and ran em through it, this is the one that got flagged.

ok so @nordcraft.com is doing a bad UX competition and if there’s one thing I love it’s making cursed stuff so I present the word search date picker

Relatedly, will end-users be surprised to discover that the "private data" that protocol nerds have been celebrating doesn't actually give them the feature they'd expect? How complete does the system need to be before we say a word about it to the wider public?

TION TO FRUSTRATION Any person who has the tenacity to spend several weeks trying independently different approaches to the solution of a puzzle before success can appreciate in some small measure the frustrations of the programming activity and the final feeling of personal triumph when the last important programming bug is cor-rected. As the process of preparing a large program often extends over more than a year and the mistakes of many people are involved, the frustrations are of a higher order. In the normal course of events, nerves become frayed, fingers are pointed, neuroses appear, and other psychological and physiological reactions are not unknown. A few persons on the project who accept the ultimate technical responsibility for the completion of the project will find the pressures unabated for a period of months. It is small wonder that persons, who have experienced this trauma a time or two, have fairly firm ideas as to the circumstances under which they will accept such a responsibility again. The completion of the project will lag unless this concentrated effort does occur, and the managerial chain on the project cannot, at the be-ginning, predict which members of the team will punish themselves in this fashion. One of the important contributions being made by the more powerful programming systems is the elimination of many of the frequent recording and cross-referencing errors so that the more important logical blunders do not remain concealed for long in the debugging proc-ess. This alone materially reduces the length of the effort and permits more concentration on the solution of the important problems.

ugh I feel this in my bones. there's so much in 26 that just feels haphazard. like, what the christ am I supposed to take from this? ignoring the atrocity of the drop-down in sf symbols, each of these has completely different controls!
sf symbols on macOS 26 with some atrocious clipping in the dropdowns console in macos26 with non-segmented buttons, with labels activity monitor in maco26 with segmented tabs but different button controls disk utility with the non-segmented controls with labels, but with subtle differences between the console version
