One of the more bleak aspects of the war on trans women in the UK is that we find ourselves forced into a position where we have to argue we should get to go to women's prison so we can be raped and abused a normal amount, as opposed to the alternative.

That is actually not what it means among the movement left, or anyone for that matter. It is not "making sure efforts remain anonymous", that can be a component, but it means evaluating what information can be observed and mitigating the risk of useful information the enemy can exploit getting back.

It is not actually a good idea because being more conspicuous than the rest of the network makes you more likely to be a target. The role of ICE Watch is not publicity, it's recon and early warning. If someone wants to do publicity they can do it outside of RRTs directly or as a bridge with media.

the reason why I go so hard against toxic dudes (see also: stancil) is also that I have seen how them getting defended by everyone structurally is destroying left wing groups, again and again.
I was extremely naive in my twenties and early thirties, took people very much at their word when it came to values, and absolutely destroyed my mental health (and my career) thinking I could publicly demand accountability and survive it whole.

You shouldn’t be filming anyone from the waist up since ICE is using facial and vocal recognition software to find out who protesters are and mass arrest them for it.
