The holiday season should be one of joy, but America’s gun violence crisis has made it a painful reminder of loss for far too many families.

We’re sending love to everyone missing a loved one stolen from them and to every person whose holiday looks different this year.

Gun violence in America is a policy choice.

Year after year, our experts find that states with better gun laws have lower gun death rates. Yet tens of thousands of Americans continue to die every year, because some states refuse to take action. It’s long past time they put safety first.

The gun industry sells fear, especially to women.

Its manipulative marketing tactics only serve gun CEO profits and their dangerous agenda. This makes us all less safe.
The Gun Industry’s “Empowerment” Marketing and Stand Your Ground Laws Fail Women
While much attention has focused on toxic masculinity in gun culture, a new and equally manipulative narrative has emerged targeting women.

For Brown University students Mia Tretta and Zoe Weissman, last week’s mass shooting wasn’t their first.

At 15, Mia was shot at Saugus High School, and at 12, Zoe lived through the shooting in Parkland. If this isn’t a wake up call, we don’t know what is.
Young People Are More Likely to Have Encountered a Mass Shooting — And Another After That
The Brown University shooting underscored that a growing number of young people have been forced to endure more than one traumatic shooting.

We’re proud to endorse Tim Walz for reelection!

Throughout his career, Gov Walz has worked to keep Minnesotans safe from gun violence, working across the aisle to expand background checks & advance lifesaving public safety measures.

He is exactly the leader Minnesotans deserve for four more years.

Ella Cook and Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov should be coming home for winter break, celebrating the end of finals, and planning what comes next.

Instead, their lives were stolen by gun violence—and the loss will be felt forever by the people who loved them.

“My grandson was 12 years old when his father’s life was stolen in an incident that can only be described as an execution.”

In 2018, Dominic Jerome (DJ) was shot four times in the head. Florida’s Stand Your Ground law allowed his killer to walk free.

Gun violence is the number one killer of kids and teens in America.

Just last week, three kids were shot and killed at a toddler’s birthday party in Stockton, California. Our children deserve to grow up free from the threat of gun violence. It’s time for our leaders to act.
