The current track record for the "extremist position" being correct is pretty lopsided

Abolish ICE
Pack the court
Defund police
Arrest trump

These have all been proven to be the correct position.
BREAKING: Parents win in a free exercise challenge to what the Supreme Court calls "LGBTQ+-inclusive" texts in a school. Alito, for the 6-3 court, reverses the Fourth Circuit in a case over a school district's lack of any parental "opt-out policy" over those texts. Sotomayor writes the dissent.

Seeing the severity of everything happening in Minnesota makes me very concerned about what thousands of armed men will do when they come to believe they face prison if their dictator loses power.
NEWS: A federal judge found that ICE had repeatedly retaliated against peaceful protesters in unconstitutional ways — and barred agents involved in Minnesota's "Operation Metro Surge" from using similar tactics and force.

The Virginia legislature today passed four constitutional amendments, all by day 3 of 2026 session:

—protect abortion rights
—repeal the same-sex marriage ban
—allow mid-decade redistricting
—greatly expand voting rights restoration.

These will all go to 2026 referendums.

It's very funny that trump, a guy with a long history of using people and ditching them at the earliest convenience, can't see that Putin is using him and will ditch him at the earliest convenience. Trump thinks they're buddies, pals, that he's in the club. He isn't.
Trump/Krasnov is straining relations with European allies, which creates division within the alliance and benefits Russia's long-term goal of diminishing American hegemony in Europe.

Putin and Xi are laughing their asses off at us.

Uh, sure, the "left" isn't protesting because pro Iran is anti America or something. Hey, then why isn't the right out protesting in solidarity even after Trump has said he supports the Iranian protesters?
Not a single shred of evidence that these views are widely shared on the American left.

It's true that the Iranian uprising hasn't gotten a lot of attention but that's mostly because the Minneapolis ICE shit is so enraging, not because we support the regime. Come the fuck on.

elected democrats who want their constituents to remain non-violent in their protests of these abuses must actually offer a path for ending the abuses non-violently. they currently are not as a party and it’s a major problem.

Quit talking about Trump. Address everything, every issue to Miller and Vought. Make Trump irrelevant, his ego will not let him be out of the spotlight and you’ll see Miller and Vought removed and the rest of the administration collapse.

Has anybody talked about how the rural folks who don't like the big city elites telling them how to live because "they don't understand life out here in the country" are fine with sending troops into those cities to control their lives instead of reciprocating that sentiment?
Stage 5 pundit-brain is watching an innocent woman being killed by agents of the state and going, "hmm this says a lot about the urban-rural divide in America."

The basic problem is that high-quality journalism is not a viable market product. If it is not protected from market forces, it will inevitably degenerate into the ragetainment that dominates these days.

Ragetainment is what, measured on a pure impulsive will-they-click-it basis, the public wants.

One of the reasons it is really important to push back hard on the investigations against people telling the military not to follow illegal orders is because when he invokes the Insurrection Act he is presumably going to be ordering the military to do illegal things and we want people to speak out.

Read an article that said the victim was shot *in the leg* and then ran. Hmmm.

Wanna bet they shot him while he was running away?
Near Lyndale and 24th Ave in Minneapolis tonight, feds have reportedly shot another person.

Preliminary info is shaky for now, hearing two people injured.

BORTAC just rolled up in an armored vehicle. A crowd is gathering outside the police tape—MPD presence as well.

I’d argue that it is key. Stealing a citizen’s phone is neither necessary nor proper for ICE agents to conduct their federal responsibilities. It is plainly unlawful conduct that local prosecutors could investigate and charge without Supremacy Clause problems getting in the way and no justification.
Not the key part of this story, obviously... but they *sold* his phone? WTF?
This is 10th-grader Arnoldo Bazan.

A citizen.

Immigration agents grabbed him and put him in a chokehold.

"We're from the United States bro!' he screamed.

Agents took and sold his phone

And when he finally got home hours later, his shirt was ripped, he neck had angry, red welts, and he sobbed.
