The current track record for the "extremist position" being correct is pretty lopsided

Abolish ICE
Pack the court
Defund police
Arrest trump

These have all been proven to be the correct position.
BREAKING: Parents win in a free exercise challenge to what the Supreme Court calls "LGBTQ+-inclusive" texts in a school. Alito, for the 6-3 court, reverses the Fourth Circuit in a case over a school district's lack of any parental "opt-out policy" over those texts. Sotomayor writes the dissent.

To be clear Lizza’s story is that Nuzzi sat on important matters of national significance for personal benefit and he’s sat on these details until he could personally benefit.

All of DC media needs to be thrown into the sea. Anyone who defends these people is a goddamn clown.

Trump thinks sedition is disloyalty to him, not disloyalty to the constitution. This interpretation is, well, seditious.
I guess “jail” is less harsh than execution. Should we call that progress?

The most fundamental question raised by this video is this: Is it reasonable to fear Trump actually is giving illegal orders, or is it not reasonable? I see almost *no* discussion of this question in coverage of the video, which is treating this largely as a dispute over optics. Why?
Oddly enough, in media coverage of Dems' video warning against carrying out illegal orders, there's very little discussion of *whether it's actually reasonable to fear Trump is giving illegal commands or not.*

The evidence is strong that he is. Media should say so:

Hmmm…what USAID wasn’t bad for America…what if getting rid of it only hurt us and everyone else?

What if the richest man in the world being responsible for ending aid to the poorest people in the world will go down as one of the most bizarre and disgusting acts of the 21st century?

They are literally firing all the judges they think might grant relief. They just fired a friend of mine a couple hours ago. They have no shame. The bastards want an assembly line for deportations and nothing more; rubber-stamping bootlickers who’ll yes’sir at every new diktat to deny.
Instead of hiring more immigration judges, the Department of Justice just posted an ad for "deportation judges." join.justice.gov

Watching Democrats denounce the "horrors of Socialism" in Congress on the same day Trump is absolutely glazing Mamdani's policies from the Oval Office is one of the most remarkably stark examples I've seen in my life of why Democrats lose so many national elections.
BREAKING: The House of Representatives voted 285–98 in favor of a resolution condemning socialism.

Eighty-six Democrats joined Republicans in supporting the measure, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

"Sir, did you just abuse and insult a journalist for asking a question? And did you publicly call a woman a piggie? Is this the way a U.S. President behaves?"

A reporter who so spoke loses WH credentials, maybe his job if his agency is gutless. But absent such, the entire WHPC is without honor.

If you receive an illegal order, you have a duty to disobey.

This isn’t controversial.

A President calling for the execution of anyone who reminds service members of this oath is showing us why the duty to disobey illegal orders is so important in the first place.

The fact the BOP guards are jumping at the chance to join ICE tells you everything you need to know about how they treat people inside federal prisons.
They’re cruel, power hungry, and make life incredibly hard in a place already designed to be difficult.

Behind this important reversal is a member of the Coast Guard who saw what was happening and had the courage to leak it to the press. That person deserves serious praise.

This is the thing. We can look at him saying this thing and say “oh he says shit like that all the time and nobody is going to act on it so it’s not a big deal” and that pose in itself is a big deal because it reflects that we have become inured to this, and that his underlings routinely ignore him!
The fairly ho-hum coverage of Trump calling for Democrats to be executed is yet another example of how him saying something outreageous is not taken seriously because he *always* says something outrageous.
It's just such a classic case of media grading Trump on a curve. "Oh, it's fine, that's just Uncle Trump posting through it!"

Covering Jamal Khashoggi's murder was one of the most disturbing things I've worked on. Hearing Trump say he was "extremely controversial" and people "didn't like him" is chilling. Hard to take any other way than he thinks there is moral ambiguity in the murder of a journalist.
