No studio will ever generate 4 options and be like one of these is perfect. They will generate hundreds/thousands driving up executive indecision and take just as long. The actual problem is not how long artist take, its leadership not knowing exactly what they want. AI will not solve that.

Congrats to France for actually kinda nutting up and treating Musk like the pedophile he is very publicly documented to be but let’s be honest if France is doing that first every other country really fucked up here.

people are working themselves up in a frenzy, convinced they're utterly helpless without software younger than still-fresh canned tuna. we have been making art for at least 50,000 years, get a grip

If anyone else wants an Adobe Animate alternative, I can’t recommend Moho enough. It’s affordable, it’s efficient, it’s been used in feature films from Cartoon Saloon like Wolfwalkers, and the best part…NO Ai whatsoever.

Have videogames made you feel different emotions?

Think about the character struggles?

Be amused by their visuals and sound?

Have they made you laugh, cry, scared, angry, wholesome, or think?

That's what ART does.

Do you remember when people were saying "I think my phone is listening to me, i'm getting ads for stuff I spoke about" and people said "They arent listening to you, they're just this good at predicting your interests"?

Well, it happens they were doing exactly that.

Hey Philly!

Tomorrow morning at 10am at city hall, city councilmembers Rue Landau and Kendra Brooks are going to be kicking off their Ice Out legislation and need our support.

This legislation will make it harder for ice to operate here.

Meet at the Northeast Corner of City Hall to back them up.

This is good change. Make sure you tell all your cartoonists friends because the ones crazy enough to take this on every year are probably in isolation, under a deep trance right now collecting all their sicko energy to harness into a single day of comic madness.
Hourly Comics Day has MOVED!

It's the 20th anniversary and we're taking a stand alongside our Black cartoonist members and friends to demand a change to honor Black History Month- draw your comics on the 8th, not the 1st!

This is another writing hack: you can do the fun part first if you want! You don’t have to start on page 1, then write prose/staging, then do dialogue—you can write any part of it, in any order and stitch it all together later! Start on page 12, or page 40 if a particular scene excites you!
Speaking of comic writing, the closest thing I have to a process is that I just write out the dialogue of characters talking to each other first, and when it feels like the convo is over and the scene is Resolved, THEN I go back and write in all the panel layouts, page breakups, and staging.

I asked if he wanted to share words for the media on camera, & he did:

The slain Minnesota man was a nurse and member of the Infectious Disease prevention research community.
Alex from our time working together, while he was in nursing school. Later, he moved to ICU, working as a nurse to support critically ill Veterans. He had such a great attitude. We’d chat between patients about trying to get in a mountain bike ride together. Will never happen now

“Go slow” is a super important price of advice. Do two or three shifts of shoveling. I used to think it was better just to to push it and get it done and that’s how I wound up with a bulging L5-S1 disk and a whole lot of pain.
uh, hey, so... To all the Americans who will now be contending with lots of snow:

Shoveling is HARD WORK.
Do not force yourself to do it all at once.
Take your time.
Lift with your knees.
Shovel off a top layer and then the bottom layer.
Shovel a narrow path and then the whole sidewalk.
Go slow.
Well… that’s a bunch. #arwx

I think people underestimate how big this is. Like a city-wide strike is not something that has happened in the US for nearly 100 years
there are a bunch of big names on this list, including multiple beard award winners, and some places i never would have guessed in a hundred years (the malt shop?!) and i'm genuinely floored and delighted to see so many participants
