Es gibt gerade im Spätherbst und Winter die Möglichkeit, eine neue Wanzenart in Deutschland zu beobachten.
Aktuell ist noch der richtige Zeitpunkt, um nach Mecidea lindbergi Ausschau zu halten. Die an Süßgräsern lebende Art fliegt scheinbar mit warmen Winden (mit Saharastaub) nach Mitteleuropa ein.
