i will concede that if you want to influence other people addicted to X, X is worth using. but if you want to influence the actual public, text-based social media is a fool's errand.
One of the biggest mistakes left-of-center pundits and influencers made was decamping to Bluesky. They made themselves irrelevant, shrunk their audiences, and dramatically lessened the positive impact they could have on our public debate at the precise time we needed it most.

had to read the article to understand wtf was going on here which is that Meta is literally feeding Instagram pictures parents took of their teenage daughters to middle aged men as ads for Threads
“Meta has used back-to-school pictures of schoolgirls to advertise one of its social media platforms to a 37-year-old man, in a move parents described as “outrageous” and “upsetting.”

Meta has 100% stopped even *pretending* not to be astoundingly evil.

It's also worth noting here that Korea's total trade with the US for one year is $240 billion.
So we took our tariffs on South Korea from 0.8% to 25%, and are now demanding that they give us $350b in “investments,” from which we will take 90% of the profits, in exchange for dropping that rate down to a mere 15%.

That shit would make John Gotti blush.
Of COURSE it would be ludicrous for South Korea to hand corrupt moron bigot crook Trump "$350 billion" for investment in the USA given their annual US exports are like $130B.

YES it would be better to have US importers pay a 25% tariff for SK products.

The Heritage Foundation is one of the worst organizations in the modern world. A cesspit of sick nazi fucks. Every single idea, every single person who comes out of it makes the world a worse place. Creepy crawly death cult. Yeah I’m not very fond of them.
Heritage Foundation has released an absolutely insane policy proposal to label all trans people as domestic terrorists. It uses completely made up instances of terrorism and made up statistics but facts don't matter to them.

They want us all eradicated.

Do you think AI is dangerous? The authors of a new book, If Anyone Builds It, Everyone Dies, think so.

And they mean that very literally: a superintelligence — an AI that’s smarter than any human, and smarter than humanity collectively — would kill us all.
“AI will kill everyone” is not an argument. It’s a worldview.

This is what the Biden admin did; their proposed Title IX rules were blocked in court by Republicans and it didn't gain them anything electorally. It's also what the NCAA tried to do and they've also been sued by Republicans. So congrats--your plan is both unoriginal and politically worthless
