I was born at a very early age and now I'm here. Some things happened in between, but they're probably not important.

I was once at Middlesbrough FC, and an angry fan shouted “for fuck sake, Boro! If you’re gonna do it, do it right!”, to which I sang “do it with me”. The bloke turned round and said “fair enough, you got me there”.

Not just unquestionably the greatest thing Bronski Beat ever did (yes, including Smalltown Boy), but a magnificent pop stomper in its own right.

It's as though the designer deliberately chose that photo to try and undo the hard work put in by the song title.

Keep thinking of when Disney tried to sue the BBC when Alexei Sayle’s Stuff parodied Snow White and the BBC legal person was heard to say, ‘Fuck Disney, we’re the BBC.’

The BBC should reply by asking Trump to participate in their forthcoming documentary based on the copy of the Epstein files they’ve just been provided with.

I've criticised the BBC in the past (especially BBC News), but I do not want a single penny of my licence fee to go towards buying even more gaudy baubles for that tangerine tosspot's ballroom. I hope the Beeb tells him to kiss it.
If you've ever needed a reason to rally behind the BBC then this is it.

There was a Wavy Line just down the road from me when I was a little nipper living in Bedford. No idea what happened to the chain (maybe Mace kicked its arse), it just seemed to vanish off the face of the earth.

Just thinking of that episode of Punt P.I where Steve is investigating the Crying Boy painting which causes houses to ignite, and how he tries to leave it at Kelvin Mackenzie's place but gets caught. Just apropos of nothing.

Maybe Keir should demand the heads of major US news networks any time they imply Britain is on the brink of civil war or that we live under sharia law. Or does it not work both ways?

I think this is the thing, isn't it? It's hard to watch the constant coverage of "small boats" leading the news, or the 'we're going across live to hear what Nigel Farage has to say' and believe that BBC News is being run by a bunch of lefties
Once every 20 years or so, the director-general of the BBC is forced to resign for being insufficiently rightwing. Alastair Milne in 1987. Greg Dyke in 2004. Tim Davie in 2025. The great irony is that the BBC was in all cases profoundly biased towards established power. But just not biased enough …
