This guy has the policial acumen of a fucking squirrel. Get him the fuck out of leadership and never let him in front of a camera again.
Jeffries: "The border is secure. That's a good thing. It happened on his watch. He wants to claim credit for it, of course he'll get credit for that. In terms of making sure that we actually deal with the issues that matter, including on immigration, there's a lot that's left to be desired."

noah smith used to regularly DM me about the fact that his silicon valley venture capitalist buddies were going off the right-wing deep end because they were afraid they would get MeTooed for the fact that promotions for young employees at the startups they were funding were gated by sex
he once DM’d me and a couple of other people to tell us that we were wrong for calling him dumb about lab leak conspiracies and that some people he knew were working on a story that would make it crystal clear and it that was getting ready to drop soon, this was like, 2021, maybe earlier

Trump might actually love financial crimes more than tariffs.
This man ripped off teachers, nurses, small business owners - people from all walks of life and professions. Some lost their life savings. Not only did Trump let him out of prison, he also doesn’t have to pay back the victims.

This is a testament to just how weak a candidate Janet Mills is right now.
Graham Platner is leading Gov. Janet Mills by 20 points in the Maine Senate Democratic primary, per a new poll.

That might surprise pundits in DC, but it captures the vibe in Maine, where you might think he was the only candidate running. @zeteo.com

Jeffries is fucking pathetic
UPDATE

House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries tells CNN that the charges against Congressman Henry Cuellar and his wife were “very thin,” and that President Trump’s pardon of the couple was “the right outcome.”
1. BREAKING

President Trump says he is granting a pardon to Democratic Congressman Henry Cuellar and his wife Imelda.

Federal prosecutors said they accepted around $600,000 from an oil-and-gas company wholly owned and controlled by the government of Azerbaijan and a bank in Mexico.

The 2018 midterms were D+7-8 or something when the economy was good. What will the vote margin be when the bottom has fallen out for the economy by the time the 2026 midterms begin?
🚨 CNBC on latest jobs numbers: "A big miss on ADP payrolls. The private payroll company saying private payrolls shed 32,000 workers in Nov. That's the 4th negative number in past 6 months. The estimate was for +40,000, so the street was off ... this may be coming from being hammered by the tariffs"

Has anyone asked straight up what Trump’s price for these pardons is? He’s definitely selling them, right? Probably some middle men getting a cut too?

Anyway tHeY'vE aLwAyS bEeN lIkE tHiS isn't just an insult to all the people who no, were very much not like this actually, but is implicitly ceding ground to ever hold anyone accountable

But don't want power, endlessly critique power, etc etc
The worst part about the boat strikes - regardless of who ordered what and besides the ultimate tragedy of lives lost - is they’re forever a stain on the professionalism and dignity of the United States military.

They’re an insult to every American who ever sacrificed to do the right thing.

Everyone talks about how Twitter has radicalized people to the right but I absolutely believe it has also further radicalized left-wing people and made them angrier, more depressed, etc.

How can it not when you’re surrounded by the worst people alive 24/7?

That site is genuinely evil.

I want us to hang on to the fact that the people who were murdered were just civilians out in boats, most likely fishermen, who had never even heard the sketchy conclusions of American officials for which they were executed, much less had a chance to defend themselves.
Megyn Kelly on alleged war crimes: "I really do kind of not only wanna see them killed in the water, whether they're on the boat or in the water, but I'd really like to see them suffer. I would like Trump and Hegseth to make it last a long time so they lose a limb and bleed out."

Multiple levels of Unfit To Be President on display here. If we were a sane country he’s be removed from office immediately.
talking to reporters last night, Trump claimed of Hegseth's double tap strike that "I don't know anything about it," then moments later claimed "I don't who you're talking about" when asked his plan to pardon the former Honduran president

So currencies. Much medium of exchange. Very store of value.

Stablecoins are no more a replacement for dollars than Mexican or Argentine pesos were a replacement for dollars in the 1980s or 1990s. They're the equivalent of a fixed exchange rate peg with ever-present credibility/reserves questions.

“‘They just kept saying, ‘Tell her to self-deport,’” she recalled. “Self-deport to where? Brazil is not her home.’” www.bostonglobe.com/2025/11/26/m...
