Sadly accurate - all these big tough rational macho men who are reduced to mindless beasts the instant they pop a stiffie. Seriously, my fellow men, why doesn't this shit offend you most of all because it is downright degrading to all of us.

Pure brass. Jfc.
Trump: Take a look at this if you want to see detail. Most people do a sign and paint it on the wall. So that's half inch thick bronze. Carved. By a very talented person. And it's brass. It's pure brass.

The legend lives on, from the Britons on down
Of the river they called the Tamesis
The river, they say, acts more like a bay
When the tides hit the sand banks near Sheerness
With a hold full of bombs, weighing 6000 tonnes
Came the good ship the Richard Montgomery

I got my 10th Covid booster yesterday and the pharmacist said I’m the only young patient she knows who’s kept up to date with vaccines.

Just a friendly reminder that anyone over 30 can get boosted every 6 months in NZ. Every bit helps!

One year on, we must question the value of an apology made by a Government that refuses to listen and respond to the voices of survivors.

“A few bad apples” is always used to deflect criticism of systemic problems in NZ.

Schopenhauer’s entropy is a more realistic way to think about it: “If you put a spoonful of wine in a barrel full of sewage, you get sewage. If you put a spoonful of sewage in a barrel full of wine, you get sewage.”

Cherie writes wonderful, creepy books. You should buy them.
I read The Family Plot several years ago and there’s one scene (if you’ve read it, you know) that I *still* think about when I enter a certain room in my house.

It's funny. Most Australians proclaim they believe in mateship, a fair go, and helping those in need - progressive values.

Yet, time and time again, they vote for conservative leaning parties that are largely corrupt, self-interested, greedy, petty and spiteful toward immigrants and the poor.

The Minister had to change the law to allow them to be used because the law originally specified detecting impairment.

I own and have read all of these, and I highly recommend them! I am NOT a big horror fan, so if you really like gore and jump scares and being terrified, some these might too tame for you. Generally, Cherie takes me right to the edge of being entertained without freaking out. YMMV.

Beginning to think Mike Johnson is in the Epstein files as well.
There's a special election in Tennessee on Dec 2 where it's likely a Republican will be elected, which will negate the majority Grijalva will give the Epstein resolution. He'll wait until after Dec 2.
