From my South Dakota colleagues--a faculty member at the USD is being threatened with termination if they don't remove their pronouns and tribal affiliation from their email signature. The Board of Regents previously passed rigid guidelines on what an email signature may contain.

My stepkid's gym teacher said she will get a reduced grade for gym class because she's missing time for surgery, so guess it's time to email, cc-ing the principal, to politely remind her that refusing to provide accommodations for temporary disability is a violation of both state and federal law 🙃
