Man, working that gig over the weekend and the one I gave in a couple of days makes me think about sticking with the service industry, but maybe some sort of consulting or straight catering? Anyway, I'm really good at this, if I may be so humble.
Two interviews next week and they're both for gigs I'm crazy excited for. Now, if I could scrounge up some coin in the meantime...

It's Week 7 of Government's Still Closed. The Senate is dipping into their Veteran's Day vacation week to work on fully passing HR 5371 and add a small set of appropriations bills to it via amendment. I've seen some reporting of what's in them, but I'm going to hold off until they are published.

we're both still only working a handful of pickup shifts/gigs trying to find work. Our heat is still off and we can't afford to turn it back on, and even w me scrounging up what I've been able to make (g hasn't been paid yet for new gig job), I'm like $200 short on rent 🙃 im so cold n tired n idk

We can pay for it by nationalizing all of Elon Musk’s money and have enough left over to do Medicaid for everyone in the country as a baseline.
I think a lot of us were unaware just how many families were using SNAP, because it’s framed as shameful to need help. I’m now at the point where I think all schools should have free breakfast, lunch, snack and after school snacks for kids in activities or aftercare.
