We have to keep shoveling all money, labor, water, and the environment into this mulcher so it will one day attain sentience and solve climate change, the first of which is impossible and the latter is a problem we have known the cause of and solution to for over a hundred years
is it better for countries to invest in boring things like transport and energy infrastructure or should they invest all their money in useless chatbots that talk in reddit-voice on the vague and completely unsubstantiated hope that they'll be able to do something profitable one day

You might recognize this art from the #Zelda 1 guide, Tips & Tactics, but a few years back the original artist, Sho Kobayashi / こばやし将, posted photos of the originals on twitter @show_kob & I love them because it shows the original art included neon pink: which doesn't usually scan or print well

🚨 With a 60-40 vote (the same breakdown as yesterday’s vote), the Senate has PASSED their negotiated federal budget deal.
The deal now goes to the House. Floor vote is expected on **WEDNESDAY**

grief is just proof that we are capable of love and evidence that we were loved in return. it's a blessing even if it feels like a curse. i keep telling myself that over and over and over again, but whew!!

There were already 50 year mortgages in places like San Francisco. It means the house “buyers” never actually own the house. You’re just renting from the bank instead from a landlord. Think twice before you do this to yourself. In some markets there is little choice. But in many walk away. 🏠💸

Every hobby decays into becoming a meta-hobby of just buying the shit involved in doing that hobby. It's a lot easier than using that stuff, after all, and gives the exact same sense of accomplishment.

Dismantling ACA isn’t about punishing insurance cos. The subsidies Dems were haggling for are tax credits. That’s our money. Not theirs. They’re talking about health savings as pre-tax dollars like your 401k. This is deregulation. Letting insurance cos resume denying coverage and selling junk plans.

there’s this really dumb idea among the brain dead liberal punditocracy that you shouldn’t even mention ICE but nah this guy ran aggressively against them in a purple center/center-right county and won.
NEW: Dems easily flipped the sheriff's office in Pennsylvania's Bucks County, a big swing county in the Philly suburbs.
So? The incumbent GOP sheriff had contracted with ICE. His Dem challenger promised to end the contract.
Now he wants other swing-state Dems to look at his victory as a lesson:
