Don't forget the punished, venomous snakes! As for reptiles in Triple Strike, I've posted this passage before, but it's one of my favorites, so I make no promises that I'll never post it again :P.
“Oh! And those are some Pyre dogs!” Sven said. He excitedly patted Alan on the arm to draw his attention. “See? See? Told you they’re scaly.” Alan regarded the creatures before him that were obviously not dogs. At best, the animals resembled knee-high monitor lizards. They had luminous scales that made shimmering rainbow patterns in the sunlight, and around their necks were ruffs that could have been fur with some stretch of the imagination. They lazily flicked their forked tongues as they lounged along the walls of the station amid Pyre’s perpetual sun beams. “Those are lizards,” Alan said, stating the obvious. “No, they’re dogs.” Sven’s voice held the sort of patience he only mustered when he wanted to tease Alan. As if to make his point, Sven knelt down and made a clucking noise with his tongue. One of the lizards looked up before breaking off from the group to meander toward them. Sven pet the creature on the head before scratching its softly scaled mane. The animal flopped down along the pavement before Sven, its tail flicking in what appeared to be contentment. “Skernval are highly intelligent animals that have been domesticated for millennia,” Sven explained. “They are loyal, pack-oriented, and easy to train. That is to say, they’re dogs.”

I mentioned the other fish in the previous post, but here's a passage covering how the sveltnas fit into the ecosystem along with a picture, because I do love abyssal gigantism 😊
Such conditions were ripe for sveltnas. Sveltnas were creatures of legend that only existed on Vodnee. There was no way to transplant them, and scientists had yet to reproduce their flavor in lab meat. The karveneor they’d caught certainly looked like apex predators to Colin, but he was told that was only because he’d never seen a sveltnas in real life. They were far larger than the whales of Earth with the serpentine body of an eel. Their fins were sharp enough to cut steel, and they had a dozen rows of teeth which they used to hunt their favored prey: the granji. Sveltnas lived in the sunless depths of the ocean, but eddies, such as the one the Esper was riding, brought vast amounts of plankton up along the water column, which in turn brought the granji. Where there were granji, there was a chance of sveltnas. A black and white picture of a sveltnas, which is a giant serpentine creature with bioluminescent patterns down its sides. It's being harpooned in the depths by a ship. The only light source are two drones trailing after it.

Late on these, but all the animals in my stories have porpoises 😁. I'll save sveltnas for the next one, but the Vodneel tribe is known for its fishing prowess, so a major plot point of book 3 is Colin trying to impress Valtra by joining her on a fishing trip on her home planet.

Ragnar is addicted to gacha games and regularly gets accused of cheating for his aim in hero shooters. Colin is also excellent at video games. Hildegarde is/was Steele’s most important relationship, but literally anything else I could say is a massive spoiler because, dead or alive, Hilde is/was the series’ catalyst.

For that reason, I also never write from Hilde’s perspective, so whatever she was thinking died with her 😁
