F/NB WAYFARERS x MURDERBOT x SOMEONE YOU CAN BUILD A NEST IN

Everything fell apart when the human came aboard. Instead of nice meals and quiet cargo runs, Tai's stuck with bickering crewmates, sinister criminals, explosions, and worse, a human who wants to be friends. #QuestPit #SF #A #Q #R #LGBT

#DecemberWorldbuilders 27: Pigeons are one of Bir Accio’s most misunderstood animals. Few citizens even realize they’ve never seen a wild dove. Across the Empire, dovecotes dot the countryside, and homing pigeon lofts can be found atop government offices and newssheet printing houses. (1/2)
It's Animals Week! Tell me about an animal in your world that can fly, #DecemberWorldbuilders! Once again, you define what an animal is for the prompt. If you want to include sapient animal-people or semi-sapient creatures of questionable 'animalhood' that is up to YOU

Dear new followers: I think you probably all followed me because I’m on this list, but there’s a lot of people on there who are actually fun to follow, so give them a go too. 👍🏻
So apparently we are getting an influx of people from the dead bird site again.

If you're looking for folks to follow. Here are my suggestions.

Hi #QueerWritersChat! I’m Catherine, writing SF about aliens who are afraid of humans and fantasy about pickpockets who do magic and parkour. And I had a nap instead of doing this chat!
Welcome to #QueerWritersChat!

To start things off, introduce yourself and tell us what you're working on! Feel free to mention how the prose is going! No links, please!

I so struggle with the fact that readers will picture characters differently, even though I know it’s inescapable 🥲 Also from now on I’m going to think of it as “going full-on Ebony Dark’ness Dementia Raven Way” every time I have to stop myself from over-describing 😂

When she was little, Nia's father took her to all his shows, teaching her the basics of misdirection, card tricks, and the mathematics behind thaumaturgic geometry. When he died three years ago, Nia found herself surprisingly well prepared for a career of stealing things unseen. #AwesomeCharacters

How did your character get started on their current line of work/quest? What started them down that path?

Was it a specific choice they made? Serendipity? Was their hand forced by someone? Was it a mistake?

#MythDecember 26: Everyone knows that good luck charms can't be lost or stolen—except when they are. A terrifying omen, to be sure. Because of that, everyone takes such a situation seriously—even skeptics like Lizzie Arlsdottir, who's found herself holding an unknown ship's charm two days from port.
Today let’s focus on some of the more frightening mythology.

What is a myth in your setting that is taken completely seriously even by people who may not be superstitious. Are there any names of demons that are forbidden? Or places you can’t go?

There is approximately a 0% chance that you are going to hybridize bonobos and humans with any degree of success, ethics, and non-horrific outcomes. You are not mixing alien and human DNA.
What writing trope do you dislike in your preferred genre? Yeah, so if the lights don’t come on in a house, chances are the killer is inside. I would love it if a character was like, naw I’m going to chance it in those creepy AF woods😂 #writingq #WritingCommunity

Tai would be incredibly stressed out trying not to say anything about the religious part, but would enjoy Easter for its modern-day trappings. There's sweets, it's about new life and rebirth, and only a couple of the animals associated with it are scary. #AwesomeCharacters

I have an extremely good idea of what all my characters look like...which is to say, likely completely different than how my readers picture them. Even if I go full-on Ebony Dark’ness Dementia Raven Way, some readers are still going to picture them differently. (Sorry, Rue!)
Happy Friday!! We made it!

Writers: If you imagine your characters, how do you visualize them? In a certain art style? Celebrity face claims? Or do you imagine nothing at all?

#DecemberWorldbuilders 26: Though one sees few snakes or frogs in the city, Bir Accio has no shortage of wall lizards. While territorial in the wild, the green and brown creatures live in small groups in the city. Their nests are often found on rooftops where they lay up to four clutches a year.
#DecemberWorldbuilders, tell me about a REPTILE or AMPHIBIAN that exists in your world 👀 I'm counting flightless birds and dinosaurs 😆
