US Supreme Court ruling doesn't just confirm Trump's National emergency declaration on #Canada was obviously bogus, it states:
".. all agree the President lacks inherent peacetime authority to impose tariffs."
He'll still use what he can, but #IEEPA is no longer one of his tools.

So I've been thinking about Kickstarter and gaming out the ramifications of that with respect to key redemptions on Steam
(as one does)
And while I've never seen proof a KS game might get fewer Steam sales due to its impact
I'm willing to bet it makes it harder to achieve Overwhelmingly Positive
(as one does)

In case you're unaware, in the US if you're disabled from birth the only monetary support you can receive is SSI. SSI has a $2k asset/savings limit before they dock your benefits, and marriage cancels all benefits. See below numbers: beyond poverty numbers w/ no allowed addition. Eugenics in action.

Surely 2026 is trending to be the worst for layoffs so far? This seems way worse than 2024/2025.
Team Siren & Japan Studios were shut down. BluePoint just got shut down. The Uncharted & Spider-Man teams have switched to making hyper-violent games instead.
Right now, I think Housemarque is the only Sony dev that is still making stuff I'm excited for. Looking forward to Saros.

I made a hobby of playing Zelda 2 on weekends, basically playing the whole game without saving, because
(I was using a Game Genie to have infinite lives and you only save by dying in that game)
I don't actually remember dying much at all, but kid me never even considered Not using Game Genie on it

Just saw an ad that started out "your kids won't remember their best day of screen time" and while I of course broadly agree with the sentiment that you should do activities with your children, don't tell me i don't remember beating zelda a link to the past

Eh, ok. So. Mobile games have, for a long time, accepted that there's a massive audience out there who is simply not interested in playing Steam games. You get some conversion as they age into bands, but they're just very different cohorts being grouped on graphs by biz-brained types.

People need to understand this is one of the primary reasons corporations & politicians have been pushing for digital identification to be required to use many apps & websites. It was never about the safety of children & is solely based on targeting people. Digital ID’s are NOT a good thing at all.

I made a tool that turns PCB designs into 3D-printable molds. you sandwich copper tape between the parts, sand the ridges, and you have a real working PCB. no etching, no chemicals. I am losing my mind
