Has kompromat turned billionaires fascist?
It would certainly explain some very rich people's seemingly insatiable and voracious greed if they are not actually keeping all the money but rather having to pass it on to avoid certain things becoming public.

The problem wasn’t believing evil would be exposed.

The problem was deciding in advance who had to be innocent.

Not dunking.

Millions of devs have written Twitter clones. I’ve done it myself. It’s not to take on Twitter, it’s to study document based data and notifications at scale. It’s hard but you do it.

Anyway, my point is if the majors pull out of the UK, we finally get to mute America.
I don't disagree with (a) in principle, but wouldn't the result in practice be that all SM platforms just pulled out of the UK? The economics simply don't work?

It's not the cell phones. It's the evil industries that billionaires have pushed onto them. Ban all that shit; destroy the online prediction market and gambling industries.

Also pass UBI and universal health care to thwart this desperate jackpot-to-survive impulse.
"Surveys have found that nineteen percent of 18-to-24-year-olds qualify as problem gamblers, and 37 percent of Gen Z gamblers self-report as having an addiction."

California's politicians made a collective decision that a person with neither inherited wealth nor a tech job should have to move to Texas to afford rent. This includes Newsom, who until about yesterday was an obstacle to YIMBY progress.
"would you rather be trans in Texas or California" is not a thought experiment for a literal shitton of people, actually.

This is what a misogynist looks like.

(He's also a Nazi.)
Fuentes, yesterday: “Our #1 political enemy is women because women constrain everything, every conversation, every man, everything. They have to be imprisoned. They are the ones that are hurting the fertility rate. They're the ones making us sympathetic to poor people, which are also brown people.”
Nick Fuentes: “The number one political enemy in America is women. … They have to be imprisoned.”

🌇 Transportation for the Abundant Society 🚅

"Abundance" says our problem is artificial scarcity—especially housing. But you can’t build your way out if transportation policy still treats traffic flow as sacred.

Transportation is the binding constraint. ssrn.com/abstract=538...

The survey polling I find the most convincing re: NIMBYism is that it finds its biggest audience when making its appeals about traffic congestion and parking. I don’t think we will end the housing crisis without building out a real public transit system.

One lesson from the Epstein–Mandelson affair is that we need to stop routinely rehabilitating political careers after serious scandals.

When politicians knowingly engage in grave ethical wrongdoing, that should permanently end their political careers. Being "talented" should not override that.
