UPDATE: Since launching our own methane-tracking satellite earlier this year, California has helped close 10 large methane leaks in our state.

I was in solar in the US for ~2 years (2020-mid 2023). We could have saved so many farms in VT with a lease agreement of only 2-5 of their acres, paying their property taxes for 30 years. But they were NIMBY, neighbors were NIMBY, so here we are. Grateful AUS was insightful.
Absolutely amazing: they've got so much solar in Australia that they need more people to use more of it, so the gov't has instructed energy retailers to offer *at least three hours of free power* during the middle of the day.

Not only is it going to be a hunger crisis, it's going to be a farm crisis. All those gallons of milk bought from dairy farmers, all the produce, all the on sale ground beef and packs of chicken that are paid for by SNAP are subsidies to farmers who don't qualify for commodities subsidies.
