I think there will he an opportunity for non-U.S. jurisdictions to capitalize on backlash to RFK and start fixing that problem, if people can bring themselves to stop handing it to him when it comes to their pet bit of wellness quackery.
The only potential hope I see from the new CDC vaccine guidance is that between provinces losing measles elimination and an antivaxxer taking over HHS, Canadian provinces like Ontario will shift to following the previous CDC and continuing WHO advice and move Hep B vaccination to infancy.

BREAKING TODAY: Vancouver Council finally passed UNANIMOUSLY building bylaw changes allowing single-stair buildings up to 6 storeys, with a @lucymaloney.bsky.social amendment for corresponding zone changes. Congratulations to all who’ve championed this including @lanefab.com & @holz-bau.bsky.social.

It’s been several years of work getting to this point.
It’s not everything that I’d want but it’s a good first step, with external single stairs and low/mid rise scissor stairs as entirely new housing options.

It's a perfect example of why denigrating a healthy debate on police reform bothers me. It not only ignores proven solutions to reduce crime rates but bypasses a much-needed opportunity to address the hugely growing cost of policing, a cost that doesn’t always translate into increased safety. 6/

Bill 60 means that we will not be able to add cycle tracks to Albert and Slater Street or extend the O’Connor bike lane to Wellington Street. It’s an absurd overreach by the Ford government that will make all road users less safe and waste millions. I hate it here.

Over the last 30 yrs, #OttCity has seen inner greenbelt neighbourhoods move the suburbs. Probably for more affordable housing. As Ottawa considers changes to its zoning bylaw, we should be increasing densities and housing options in these struggling areas.
