trump getting his feelings hurt by european leaders is the culmination of this new type of guy that emerged in the last decade or so: guy who goes out of his way to be a huge asshole who then gets really offended when the people he's being an asshole to don't like him

Bumping this because holy hell post is not kidding, I am spinning up something to let me track fancy nerd comic book hardcover prices in true goblin style with essentially zero background whatsoever and the biggest impediment so far is that eBay developer access makes you wait for account approval
i'm going to do a very limited writeup later but the short answer on what I did is:

1) install VS Code
2) install the Claude Code for VS Code extension
3) tell Claude to do things in plain English

you'll need at least the $20/month Claude sub if you want to do it this way.

If I was the commander in chief of the Imperial hegemon I would simply not dismantle the network of military and diplomatic alliances, favourable trade deals, and broad cultural paramountcy that had made my nation the most wealthy and powerful the world has ever seen.

The reactionary centrist logic is simple: if the left does something bad it’s the left’s fault, and if the right does something bad, it’s also the left’s fault for making them do it. It’s a simple formula and once you see it every one of their arguments is the same

Apropos of absolutely nothing to do with the masked men with no visible agency insignia carrying crates of who knows what out of the shooter's house, but HBO just released an amazing documentary into DHS "shadow units" whose job was to destroy evidence of Border Patrol's crimes
HBO documentary sheds light on Border Patrol’s now-defunct ‘shadow units’
“Anastasio was tragically tortured, beaten, kicked, stomped, and killed by border agents,” said Guerrero. “Unfortunately, that was only the first part of the story, the second par…

When a cop murdered my big brother at a road block 21 years ago, their post-facto justification was that he tried to run over a cop.

His foot released the brake after the officer shot him in the chest, and the car bumped an officer.
