Three and a half weeks on the bike (and a diet with more fish and veggies) and I've shaved off three of the five pounds I gained when I quit smoking three months. Looks like I may hit my fighting weight goal by year's end if my metabolism cooperates! Woot!

Life hack: Do not check your phone when you wake up. Have that happy time where you are free of constant disappointment and anxiety and you can appreciate coffee, pets, lovers, friends, the book you are reading, and so forth. The news is now a crack pipe to hopeless depression.

Yup. This is literally the only reason I remain a registered Democrat. I'm utterly disgusted with this party.
Stay and fight. From New York: if you register as an independent, you can't vote in the primary. And in a blue state like NY, primaries can be more decisive than general elections. And in general elections, you can vote on the Working Families Party line and signal the Dems you're a progressive.
Right, the answer isn't to abandon the party to these weasels.

Every single person in Little Village fighting ICE/BP this week, each one of those people had more courage than the entire party leadership put together. Every single person in the street resisting in LA, Portland, Chicago, they're ALL showing more backbone than useless top tiers of Dem apparatus
I keep seeing regular Americans taking more risks every day to fight tyranny, want, and cynicism than I see from the opposition party, and I imagine many of those regular Americans are asking themselves what the value proposition of such an opposition party is, really

86 days off cigarettes! I can't believe it! I was a fucking hardcore Smeagolesque smoker. But nicotine was a fiend! Not a friend! I feel happier, smarter, and can run and sing much better (at least a half octave more on the latter)! This, and exercise and more fish and veggies! Quit! You can do it!
