“Libromendel” — A Modern Day Retelling of Stefan Zweig - Reluctant Habits
This is the story of how a 1929 Stefan Zweig story became a vital inspiration for an epic audio drama depicting the cost of removing people from American life. (You can listen to the audio drama at th...

The "appropriate next steps" would be;

"Larry Who? We do not know that name. Perhaps you mean the late great DONNA Summer, whose enchanting disco hits are played for our thinktank as our vital men devise neoliberal policies that aren't nearly as stirring as Ms. Summer's voice."

Two pounds down, eight more to go until I'm back to my healthy BMI range. This was probably the worst long-term effect of quitting smoking three months ago. But I am on that damned bike every day, getting toned, with the endorphin rush fueling my writing. I don't know how actors do this. 🤣🤣

They rounded a bunch of random Venezuelans with tats and pretended they were in tren de aragua, then started blowing up random Venezuelan boats they claim “carried drugs,” in order to slowly groom their base into supporting a full ground war on Venezuela that was always about oil
Whole bunch of stuff beginning to make a lot of sense.

Woody Allen "busting his ass" for Trump, it looks like. There are also emails I've found between Epstein and Soon-Yi.

In December 2018, Epstein wrote about Trump: “I am the one able to take him down.”
Eight months later, Epstein was found dead in a prison run by the Trump administration.
Weird coincidence.

When the median homebuyer is nearing retirement, you don’t have a housing market. You have a crisis.
The median age of all U.S. homebuyers is now 59 years old.

Just 15 years ago, it was 39 years old.

Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed

I, personally, would like to see dramatic consequences for senior leadership’s reprehensible and vicious crusade against trans people, so I will take what I can get

but fundamentally they have a deep disdain for their main consumer base of normie libs and that base has finally taken notice

Nothing would tickle my vengeful heart more than to see their twisted neoliberal legacy, so beautifully condemned by Christopher Hitchens in NO ONE LEFT TO LIE TO, completely uprooted by an Epstein smoking gun. That fucker signed the Welfare Reform Act. I'll never forgive him for that.
I can't remember the precise wording but someone on here said that the Republican threat to expose Bill Clinton too isn't so much a threat as it is a "buy one, get one free" promotion.
"This could take down Democrats, too."

I know. And I frankly wouldn't give even an itty bitty damn if it implicated every Democratic man in Congress, every Democratic hopeful for 2028 and every Democrat who has even thought about running for office.

Down with the sex predators, wherever they are.

It's not a big scoop at all. Rich people are frequently unremarkable and often more vulgar than the putative rabble. Their wealth secures them a steady flood of sycophants and grifters who avail themselves much in the manner of starving artists latching onto patrons for a cash IV drip. Hardly new.
Something that’s so striking in these emails is how…unimpressive Epstein is. He comes off as a pompous, sub-literate lech. Yes everyone is so mortifyingly solicitous of him! All fawning and flattery! Why?????

he’s a provider of access to money, connections and beautiful women and girls — everything that these people need to affirm their own status. being rich and powerful is a grift which requires other to bolster & buy in. That’s the service Epstein provided.

Let's not mince words. The Black men who fought in WW1 (see the 369th infantry, which I've done research on) and WW2 faced overwhelming racism and belittlement. They succeeded anyway, despite all odds. It is deeply angering that GOP white supremacy seeks to erase their legacy, which must be honored.
Removing a monument honoring Black US soldiers has nothing to do with DEI. It’s erasure of history and it’s straight-up racism.

From John Richardson's bio: the first sound that Picasso made was "piz," short for "lapiz." And this sounds too apocryphal and too on the nose to be true. The case of a biographer printing the legend, though inarguably a good story.

Can we hold the NYT criminally complicit for aiding & abetting a pedophile sexual predator? Send the decision maker to jail, along with Trump, his administration and every republican who has voted to cover up his crimes🤬
On Dec. 8, 2015, Jeffrey Epstein offers a NY Times reporter photos of Donald Trump and "girls in bikinis in my kitchen." Epstein tells the reporter that he "gave" Trump his "20 year old girlfriend...after two years."

When people looked into these type of rumors the Times smugly criticized them.

I have not had any time to look at the latest Epstein release. But in the end, it doesn't matter. Trump isn't going anywhere. The Demos are feckless turncoats. Our only real hope now is a third party of Zohran style progressives.

“Trump’s administration arrested Sami Hamdi following a social media campaign from far-right, Islamophobic figures.”
