Fun fact, while in the Lord Of The Rings movies frodo looked like this, in the books he actually looks like this!

I'm still mad about the loss of Crew in #LimerickCity

I wasnt even a patron of the place but understood how important they were here.

The fact that the parklet being demolished without warning was a major factor, yet apparently it was *impossible* to reverse by the city leadership, is pathetic.

Happy New Year #Speirgorm!

If anyone finds where 2025 is buried, I will buy some new dancing shoes.

May your 2026 be good and/or better!

Just to add to this, recently someone found that ChatGPT was used to translate some text in the Russian localisation of the game. The game's creative director's response was better than most studios have been when found to have used GenAI in their processes.

They most important part of any "A Christmas Carol" adaptation is the casting of Charles Dickens and Rizzo the Rat.

They can really make or break the whole thing.

I have reached the Krakoa era of the X-Men comics.

I'm vaguely aware that this storyline doesn't end in a very satisfying way, but in the meantime, it's been well worth the journey to this point.

Do you feel that egg on your face yet?

Please for the love of God buy a ChatGPT subscription."

America, you have spoken loud and clear: You do not like AI. But what if AI is the way to restart the world’s idea machine?
We’re running out of good ideas. AI might be how we find new ones.
What if the best use of AI is restarting the world’s idea machine?

Just want to find someone who knows me as well as the Irish husbands who, after 50+ years of marriage, still burst into shops at 5pm every Christmas Eve, wild panic in their eyes, yelling that they need "SOMETHING FOR A WOMAN"

Steadfastly straddling Hanlon's Razor while insisting it's a very comfy seat.
I mean yeah it’s an authoritarian takeover but can we take some comfort in the fact that the people doing it are INSANELY stupid?

I am officially out of tea as of this morning, but have a box of 600 arriving in the post tomorrow. It's always darkest before the dawn.

Patrick O’Donovan went out on the national airwaves with a half-baked, bad set of ideas about linking access to online spaces to our PPS numbers.

If he had these ideas himself, it would be a Christmas miracle.

But in fact, they are the Zuckerberg lobbying aim across the world.

this is a good reminder of how things that are shitty but have been accepted as normal and inevitable can actually turn out to be abnormal and evitable with some science, time, education and political will

Look guys, you don't realise just how important it is to give up everything so AI can work. You're not seeing it.

It's very important that AI works out. If you don't agree, then maybe you're just not smart enough? Do you think maybe you're just not smart enough to get this?

ChatGPT it sometime.

I remember Donie O'Sullivan interviewing users of Parler a few years ago (remember Parler?)

A number of them were lamenting the fact that despite being 'free of The Left's censorship' in having a space of their own, there was nobody to troll, therefore no enjoyment to be had there.
What this underscores is a fundamental truth that while none of the rest of us need supremacists in our spaces, and are just fine without them, supremacists need the rest of us or they collapse against each other. Without them we're fine. Without us they've got nothing.
Elon's little serfs are quite literally begging journalists to come back because every publicly available source of data shows people have fled the platform and young people won't use it.

They are literally begging regular people to come back. Don't do it! It is a website by and for actual Nazis!

In Elon's defense, making sci-fi claims about what he plans to do is his bread and butter, and the only reason he got to where he is today.

This new line of fantasy thinking is just his latest in a long chain of made up things he wants to sound smart about.
once again this is not a real thing Elon Musk is going to actually accomplish, this is a lazy fiction designed to inject the looming Space X IPO with memestock fantasy magic
