This isn't me being pro-AI. It's me being observant about my neighbors in rural areas. They're paranoid about burglars to the point of hoarding guns. I refuse to come out to them as trans because they'd be afraid of me. The same areas that are anti-AI are also afraid of wind farms and solar panels.
This makes me notice something else, rural white people are inherently pessimistic on everything whether it's trans people, AI, immigration, etc.
This is interesting, I must admit because it's in tension with other polls that show that people are (slightly) more optimistic about AI, with some very interesting demographic divides.
Especially if black people remain optimistic on AI, this will substantially curtail any anti-AI populism.

besides AI writing being worse, there’s no evidence it gives any real advantage over not using it. you’d still have to fix all its screw ups, which takes time you could use to do it right the first time.

The pharmacy tech at the queer owned pharmacy I go to is THE CUTEST guy ever. He's so charming and friendly. Asian guy with long hair. Today he had it half up and remembered me by name. I always go in with my husband so he doesn't know that I adore him. He's perfect and deserves everything.
