The thing that really bums me the fuck out is that our culture is so comfortable and complacent (I am super guilty of this as well!), nothing will meaningfully happen until it’s far too late to prevent most of the damage. It’s like the steamroller gag from Austin Powers but way less fun.

One thing I miss about the Obama years is the feeling that time was forwardly progressing. We had a president who was born later than the previous presidents because he was president later. The previous presidents were presidents previously and we didn’t have to worry about them again.
