I've noticed the opposing team's fans only cheer when the opponents score on us. To win those fans over, I recommend we score on ourselves repeatedly; that will surely make them so happy they'll start supporting us. And I'm sure all our fans will keep cheering for us—who else is there to cheer for?

I keep seeing this about the GOP and the Dems but it's inaccurate. It wouldn't be Charlie Brown getting the football taken from him mid-kick. It would be Charlie Brown shitting himself, wiping his own face with the shit, and then giving Lucy whatever money was in his pockets while begging for a hug.

Everyone should call their Reps and Senators and tell them they won’t donate another penny until there is new leadership an a commitment to actually fight.
anyway if dems think I'm gonna forget this shit in 5 months, they're wrong. if they think I'm gonna forget it in 5 years, they're wrong. they have fully convinced me that purging the party of these inept losers in the senate is more important than retaking the senate in the next election cycle

(Summing up)

Schumer concocted a selfish plan to benefit senators not the ppl. He should have been ousted then. He could also have chosen not to start the shutdown. Having started, he could force the GOP to own it by nuking the filibuster.

He failed at every turn. He must go.

sorry to be that guy but when will the press corps that just recently was very concerned about presidential cognitive capacity do a story about grandpa repeatedly agreeing with the last person who spoke to him, with chaotic results

Go volunteer for a progressive launching a “hopeless” campaign against an extremely entrenched incumbent currently squatting in a safe Blue seat. The worst thing that happens, is that you drag the incumbent to the Left. Best case? Zohran Mamdani, who was polling at 6% in January.

We want this #shutdown to end as much as anyone, but giving in to promises of a future vote on ACA subsidies is weak sauce. The House pen won’t even allow it and we can do this shutdown dance again in January. 😩

Senators, don’t make all this pain for nothing. Be bold. HOLD. THE. LINE.

Not a political consultant but I’m not sure “standing up to trump doesn’t work” is the best midterm message, even if if accurately represents senate dems position. Not much point in putting you in power then bsky.app/profile/atru...

The ACA fucking *sucks*, is a national shame, is confoundingly cruel and ineffective and insufficient and, also, simultaneously is SO MUCH MORE PREFERABLE to pre-ACA American healthcare it's not even close.
The thing about ACA is that if an American describes how it works to someone from literally anywhere else, the other person will be utterly horrified at its deliberate cruelty.

The way the horror of pre-ACA healthcare sounds to an American, is basically how ACA sounds to everyone else on earth.
