This has been the prevailing attitude of the Only Other Party for the last 10 years and they got absolutely obliterated in 2 out of 3 "must-win" "can't lose" elections by the same people who explicitly believe in only the exact lies coming out of Trump and the rest of MAGA's mouths.
Saving America from Trump and preserving our democracy explicitly requires that people who voted for Trump change their mind. Which in turn requires that those who didn’t vote for Trump show grace and empathy to those whose change of heart came from being hurt by the guy they voted for…

maybe the Dems should listen to valid concerns about their pet candidates instead of just deciding whose turn it is and when
So...I think the left sometimes feels like saying, "I won't vote for this person in the general election" is a way to push other Ds not to support that candidate. "if you nominate this person we'll walk and you'll lose!"
