Oh, you muted me because I repost too much? Did you also pluck out your two precious eyes upon witnessing your first sunset? So sure, were you, that you’d taken in all the majesty and beauty you’d ever need in this life? What melancholy. I envy and pity your surety in equal measures. #unmutekafui

Hopefully the whole Bari Weiss thing and Ezra Klein thing starts waking people up to the fact that corporate media is mostly populated with mediocre people who have made millions and gained unbelievable influence because they threaten nothing and tell wealthy people exactly what they want to hear.

This a federally-monitored website. The regime is on highest alert. Anyone posting advocacy for violence right now is a fedposter or a fool. This has nothing to do with what is right or wrong or what you have a right to say. It's simply a fact.

Excellent response from Hasan Piker, who was scheduled to debate Charlie Kirk in two weeks. On his stream he said: “The reverberation of people seeking out vengeance in the aftermath of this violent, abhorrent incident is going to be genuinely worrisome.” Also talked about his own vulnerability

There is nothing remarkable about this opinion. “I’m a conservative, and I only favor programs that benefit me“ is the oldest story in history.

NEWS: 40-year-old veteran & oysterman Graham Platner demands corporations pay for climate change. He believes the US should fund universal healthcare instead of endless war. And he says the genocide in Gaza is the “ultimate moral test of our time.”

And he's running to beat Susan Collins in Maine.

I get being angry at Mayor Pete et al, but to me the problem isn’t that they fought for marriage instead of liberation, but they abandoned the basic principle of solidarity against bigots: THEY LEFT VULNERABLE PEOPLE BEHIND, and once the enemy knows you’ll do that, they’ll slice you up like a ham
honestly, i think the read on this is mostly anger at people like Mayor Pete — lgbt people who thought if they threw trans people under the bus and acted “respectable” (i.e. assimilated), their marriages would be safe

“neoliberals” here is shorthand for “dems who don’t care about social justice”

I believe a lawyer told Andrew Yang this, because Yang is a rich nitwit who hangs out with other rich nitwits, none of whom do any real work nor can tell good work from bad, all of whom could be replaced by an AI chatbot with no loss in output speed or quality.

Okay, but besides Epstein calling him his “closest friend,” flying on the Lolita Express 8 times, showing up in both contact books, co-organizing a "beauty pageant" together in which they flew 28 girls to FL, and dating one of Epstein's victims--why do people think Trump is in the Epstein files?

The guy is a Nazi who created generational harm and hates every Democratic constituency. The fact that any Democrat would “welcome” him when he is political poison is why the party is struggling: it lacks core beliefs.

Liberals (in basically any western country) think that the political victory of the right is due to messaging: "We just need to get the messaging right".

No. Your politics are shit because you are adopting the narratives of the right (austerity, racism) and provide no meaningful alternatives.

Wages have increased faster than inflation. Games aren’t just underpriced, they’d STILL be underpriced at the inflation-adjusted prices.

But instead of a reasonable gaming market, we have woefully underpriced games subsidized by predatory in-game transactions and exploitative labor practices.
Median **inflation-adjusted** earnings are up 15% from 1998.

Not only would $117 be a fair price, but a $60 game that kept up with wages would actually be $134.55

Therefore, the argument is not fucking stupid, and you are fucking stupid

The steady deterioration of First Amendment rights and the conflation of violence with dissent is a result not just of an authoritarian regime but of a press culture that is feckless at best and authoritarian-fluffers at worst. The New York Times is beyond redemption.
The killings of two Israeli Embassy workers in Washington on Wednesday cast a harsh spotlight on the pro-Palestinian movement in the U.S. and the impact even peaceful protests might be having on attitudes against people connected to Israel.

Finally saw Sinners. The scene where music collapses space-time and brings ancestors and descendants into a sacred communion dance was the most powerful scene I’ve seen in some time.

Blues & Hip Hop came out of the darkest ages of our oppression. Wonder if we still have that kind of art in us.
