Catastrophic for Republicans to be underwater with white voters. It’s like the “leopards eating faces” party being underwater with leopards.

it’s also entirely possible to criticize the excesses of American foreign policy without doing this shit, which is the strangest part. “i think GWoT was bad because we killed a bunch of people and it didn’t work” is entirely coherent!

A movie getting ‘mixed reviews’ is generally a sign that I’ll like it

A movie where the FB algo is constantly showing me negative reviews while non-critics post about how they liked it usually means that I’ll *love* it

‘Ghosts aren’t real but they exist’ is a surprisingly coherent worldview, and I endorse it wholeheartedly
do you believe in ghosts or are you like me, a person who finds themself saying all the time “I absolutely don’t believe in ghosts, but this place has ghosts.”

I kind of think it’s weird to have an ideology, like to *adopt* a pre-formed ideology as your own.

I think its the moral duty for LGBT people in countries where they have freedoms and free speech rights to criticize governments around the world that refuse or are taking away the rights of their Queer citizens

Co-sign this: “The moral purpose of democracy is not to keep my hands clean and feel good about myself, no matter how much politicians and other demagogues claim otherwise. The moral purpose of democracy is the reduction of abusive power in the world.”

“well i just wouldn’t run the world system” that’s just option 2, since you’re still morally responsible for everything you could have prevented but didn’t. the worst stain on Bill Clinton’s presidency wasn’t any intervention, it was the lack of one in Rwanda.

Tourism is a sign of robust and prosperous civilization. To be a tourist is to be the actual culmination of all of your ancestors’ fondest hopes. Be proud, damn it!

The tourism INDUSTRY has problems that must be confronted, but tourism itself is inherently good.
Tourists are an interesting group in that they consistently deny what we all know they are. I can’t think of anything that screams tourist more than reducing each experience down to charm bracelet size and wearing it around. If tourism is your thing, just embrace it!

That said, a lot of you need to chill with the rumor mill haruspicy. You aren’t good at it.

Sudan is experiencing the largest humanitarian crisis ever recorded.

12 million people have been displaced — that is the population of the state of Georgia. And more than 635,000 people are facing famine.

We must push for an arms embargo on Sudan and get aid in immediately.

people in the past didn't have to worry about how nutritious their food was because they were more preoccupied with eating enough

obesity and its related health consequences is evidence that people are much richer in the modern day
Don't forget hyperprocessed food scientifically designed to 1) hit all the pleasure centers 2) be cheap to produce and...

Healthy? How does that help the bottom line?
