What I'm not enjoying the the constant battle between needing my heated blanket for heat and my face reacting really badly to the dry air caused by my heated blanket. I'm moisturising like a Doctor Who villian and am still in pain.

If you want a less gendered word to use for 'happily, aimlessly talking' then 'natter' is RIGHT THERE.
The worst (cultural) thing to happen in 2025 was the reinventing of the word 'yapping' as a (seemingly) neutral jokingly self-depricating word. Want to seize every young woman by the shoulders and scream in their face when they use it.

Fandom needs interaction to thrive, if u want to keep enjoying art, fic, edits, animations, silly little hcs, and all of that gud stuff, give some of the love back that creators pour out for you, fandom shouldn't be /content/ to mindlessly consume, let it be a dialogue of love and appreciation 🙏✨❤️
I think a big fandom shift in interacting with stuff has gone from people commenting under the created thing whether it be fic or art to people linking it in private discord groups where the person who made it will never see any positive comments left on the thing they made.
