Oh you want to exist and not be killed or harmed, and also be able to live life in some modest comfort without constantly being under threat by people who hate you? Sounds like a losing strategy politically, maybe you should compromise.

personally I don’t think we need to worry about whether it’s “fair” to let that guy keep stabbing folks. stabbing people is obviously wrong

my opinion about whether democrats should aggressively gerrymander every possible house seat is the same as my opinion about taking a knife away from a guy who has spent the last thirty years stabbing people to death with it

I don’t think there should be a separate doubles luge event. It should be a single event that awards bonus points for each extra guy

Jujube continues to be interested in DS9. I wonder if she just likes this particular show for some reason (despite its lack of dogs), or if she’d like other ‘90s TV. Maybe something to do with resolution or frame rate or effects or whatever makes it more watchable for her.

A child dying of cancer spent her final days fighting to free her wrongfully detained father from ICE custody.

This comes just weeks after a mother from Maryland was denied the right to be at her son’s side as he died from cancer.

Not one dime for this cruelty.

Measles is one of those nightmare diseases that, if it hadn't been killing people for hundreds of years, people would ABSOLUTELY be pushing conspiracy theories about right now. It's too nasty in too many different directions to seem natural. But oh, boy, it sure is.

Taking an anti-vaccination stances against a treatment that saves the life of ONE IN FIVE HUNDRED KIDS and has no verified deaths involving healthy recipients is not just anti-science and anti-logic, it's evil. I have studied this disease too extensively to soften that word.

It's just evil.

In real life, one in 500 kids who catches measles will die. And because measles is an asshole, some of them will die six to eight years later, of untreatable, incurable neurological conditions left as a parting gift by the virus.

1 in 500 is one person out of two or three good sized college lecture classes.

Imagine if every semester that you took a couple of big bio and chemistry classes, somebody died.
