Calling it “lunar new year” makes me really uncomfortable as someone whose people follow a lunar calendar with a completely different new year. It feels like total erasure of all other lunar calendars. Am I missing something here?

I don’t think it’s coincidence that the detention centers are in red areas, filled with people taken from blue areas, as they call for redoing the census. The people taken largely can’t vote, but would still be counted in how much representation each district gets.
