People misclick, people revenge-report, people conflate "I don't like this" with "this person should get in trouble for it", people decide they hate someone and they're going to work up a mass flagging campaign, people follow people around and report literally everything they post... etc, etc, etc.

Hey, while I'm working on this: if you have any kind of medical Weird and are trying to gather evidence to demonstrate to a doctor how bad it is, allow me to introduce you to the best clinical measurement for "how fucked up are you", the Karnofsky scale. www.mdcalc.com/calc/3168/ka...

I’ve only seen this from a few rando accounts here, but it’s worth saying:

Don’t post a judge’s contact info. Don’t contact a judge about a ruling you read about.

Judges are not representatives. “Guys let’s flood them with calls and emails!” is a remarkably terrible idea.

Block anyone doing it.

Living in Minnesota right now is wondering if your patient is late because they got caught in traffic, because they got arrested, or because they got detained and all of these are perfectly plausible and equally likely.

I renewed my drivers license in November, and the new one still hasn’t come. I’m seriously considering just paying $37 to replace it rather than trying to deal with the DMV on this.

The so-called Save America Act will force 21 million American citizens to produce passports or birth certificates just to register to vote. Most do not have them ready. Turning paperwork into a barrier is a poll tax by another name. #HandsOffHerVote social.demcast.com/s/L9X3k1fQ

A new study has shown that miscarriage or induced abortion is NOT a potential risk factor for breast cancer, contrary to continued anti-choice propaganda. Even several abortions or miscarriages does not increase risk. The study used high-quality Finnish registry data.
Prior abortion or miscarriage not linked to increased risk of pre- or postmenopausal breast cancer
A prior abortion or miscarriage was not linked with an increased risk of developing pre- or postmenopausal breast cancer in a study published in Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica.

Jujube: Now poop.

Me: You couldn’t have done that at the same time you peed?

Jujube: No.

Knitting is going faster than I expected for how many stitches it is, but I can only sustain it for like 10 minutes at a time, so it’s going to take forever. I hope these hats are still a thing when I’m done. I mean, I hope they’re not needed anymore, of course, but barring that…

Love how colon cancer keeps killing people under 50 and yet insurance doesn't cover colonoscopy without cost-sharing until age 45.

I just paid $1,584 out of pocket for mine thanks to my deductible and copays

Have been musing on the Obama meme posted by Trump.

It doesn’t seem long ago when public debate would have centred on questions like “Is this racist, or not?”

But now it seems to be “Is it ok to be racist, or not?”

Racism has been and continues to be an entrenched part of our social fabric… /1

Attention Canadians!
Found this on the bad place. I'm from the US, so I can't, but if you’re Canadian, I urge you to sign this House of Commons petition, then share with your friends & family. It calls to ban Canadian companies from working with ICE and ban ICE from operating in Canada.

Jujube has gone between the two layers of her leash. I’m not sure what to do with this besides laugh. Obviously I’ll help her untangle when the time comes, but she will not be pleased if I interrupt her chewing for it.
