I noted that they defined “middle life” as starting at 44, and at just shy of 39, I’m still in the “early life” group. And also I have slightly over 5 years before I have to start exercising. That’s what I’m supposed to get from this study, right?

Yes. It’s a whole thing, apparently.

Is it bad that I immediately looked up their age ranges to see if I need to be active yet? I’ve determined I can be sedentary for another 5 years before it starts to impact my risk for dementia, and I’m very happy about this fact. That was my main takeaway.

It was a very helpful info dump. And I figured that’s what was going on with the countries. It seemed unlikely that you live simultaneously in both Scotland and Ireland, so I assumed you meant that’s your background and not necessarily where you live now 😂

Oh, and when Wakefield’s actual data was uncovered, it turned out that like half the kids he wrote about had documented symptom onset prior to their first vaccine. So that very strongly suggests vaccines do not cause autism.

There have been a lot of studies, and with the exception of a single retracted paper using “data” that was outright fabricated, none of those studies have found any evidence to suggest that vaccines cause autism. There’s also really no particular reason to think that they might.

They clearly do not understand how statistics work. We’re never going to “prove” that vaccines do not cause autism, in the way they’re suggesting, because that’s simply not possible. You can’t prove that a negative statement is true, only repeatedly fail to find evidence that it’s false.

Ooh, this is super helpful. I’m not a wheelchair user myself, but I have a lot of sensory sensitivities, and stiff fabric would definitely be an issue. I’ll be sure to look carefully at that before I buy anything. The rainbow thing sounds awesome.
