As somebody obsessed with FOP as a kid, Channel Chasers spoke to me when it came to mortality and growing up, even as a 6 year old. Weird to say about a kids cartoon made by a born again Christian, but this analysis really does highlight these themes and what the show and episode meant to me.

No clue what the #discourse is on the new Pixar sequel, but I do feel compelled to say that Toy Story 4 was phenomenal and I'm honestly kind of down with them continuing to make a new movie every few years

I keep seeing people say, oh, trans people must take a hit for the greater good and, first of all, no, you don't get to discard someone else's rights and second, we know from past experience that marginalized communities like theirs are merely the first to be targeted. They'll come for you next.

In a modern world where poster designs are the ugliest they have ever been, Drew crafted incredible stories that not only sold movies, but made them even more exciting and even more special.

Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc. would not be what they are without Drew Struzan. May he rest in peace
Heartbroken that, per his social media accounts, Drew Struzan has left us. His poster and album art was quite simply shorthand for imagination for countless young people.

Never seen a single episode of any of the Law and Orders. Or any of the NCISes. Or Criminal Minds. Or the Chicago shows. Basically almost every cop show? Never watched.

I do remember seeing one episode of CSI at my grandparents’ house one time when I was a kid. So…that’s that?
Inspired by a post I just saw in which someone admitted they hadn’t seen a single episode of Friends nor the film Love Actually… what cultural hole do you have that’s a bit weird for your generation?

I’ll go first: I haven’t seen Dirty Dancing.

Let's review the numbers. The economy they inherited from Biden had created 16 million jobs. Trump has yet to prove he can create jobs, no matter how Chavez-DeRemer tries to spin the narrative.

FUCK THIS. Hurt their feelings *more*. Any CEO who tries to destroy the country or undermine policy because they didn't get their ass kissed with a fucking invite to the White House was _always going to betray the country anyway_. Spend this much time trying to appease the poor! Fuck's sake.

To be clear: this entire “we’ve got to run more pro-lifers” insanity is because literally a week ago polling showed that Democrats would prefer politicians like AOC and Mamdani over Jefferies and Schumer by, let me emphasize this, a 20 point fucking margin.

Only 1 person in the whole study went from identifying as trans to not identifying as trans. The 1/5 number came from youth going between the binary and non-binary spectrum.

This headline and post are misleading on purpose to fit the economist's editorial bent on the political issue.
A recent study found that children who transitioned young retained stable gender identities over time. But the fact that nearly a fifth of those in the group did not ought to give advocates of irreversible medical interventions pause
How stable are the gender identities of younger children?

Enough with this Horst Wessel bullshit. Charlie Kirk is not a hero. None of the 95 Democrats who voted to honor him should win their next primary. It's time for this fascist bullshit to end, and if we have to start by purging our own cowardly enablers, that's fine.

Get Fucked. Charlie Kirk thought little kids getting murdered in schools by mass shooters was "worth it" so that he could have a gun and overthrow the government. Charlie Kirk paid for busses of rioters to swarm the capitol on Jan 6th. Charlie Kirk was a bigot, not a martyr.

Christian persecution in America is best defined by this image: No actual struggle, wearing clothes that cost more than my entire wardrobe, polished cross instead of rugged, and surrounded by crowds of fellow hypocrites cheering on bigotry who believe they're the victims.
Bearing your cross is a lot easier with wheels.

It'd be shame if everyone passed around this report that the DOJ, staunch defenders of free speech that they are, decided to try to hide from the taxpayers who funded the study.

By which I mean this report, written not by a think tank but the Nat'l Inst. of Justice, which opens with this:

Capitalism is a disease
It's important to realize what precipitated this was Nexstar announcing they pulled showing Kimmel on their affiliates. They're currently waiting for the FCC to loosen restrictions to enable their massive merger. This was as much pay to play by a corporation as it was censorship.
