That's always been the limiting factor in the world of books, you see -- there just aren't enough books. Mere flesh-and-blood humans can't write them quickly enough for all the readers who have already read every book.

When I was young and foolish I feared that one day a charismatic figure who was a transphobe but otherwise great would rise and split us from our allies. But nope. Turns out transphobia is a shockingly accurate test for being across-the-board one of the worst people on earth.

Any politician discussing Pretti's murder by bringing up "untrained" goes in the trash bin for me. *I* know Ross was a CBP vet of nearly a decade who served as a firearms trainer. Pretti's killer was the epitome of a trained agent. If a politician conveniently doesn't, it serves their agenda not to.
