A cool thing about the Dems being absolutely useless institution-fuckers is that if they did gain control again, they'll look at the mutilated, broken remnants of the FDA and NSF and such as sacred and reject out of hand any suggestion they need to be changed.

These guys wake up each morning, loop their neckties, snort an unholy megadose of coke, and go right to work finding ingenious new ways to make the imminent incineration of the entire global economy even more apocalyptic than it was already going to be.
BREAKING: OpenAI is requesting US government support to help guarantee financing for the massive investments in AI chips and data centers it needs for expansion, per Bloomberg.

A year ago today, we had a really terrible election night, and because I know how people fall into despair I sat down at 11pm and wondered what I could tell you. I told you:

It's a deep relief that society has mostly evolved beyond the bizarre old "Mrs. <her husband's entire name>" convention. My grandmother used to do it. When I was a kid she mailed me a birthday card and the return address had me convinced, probably for years, that her first name was Charles.

Long before the pandemic it was cars that taught me there is no limit to the volume of senseless, gory, and preventable mass death Americans will tolerate, normalize, shrug off
Halloween is the perfect example of how the time spent in or around cars are the most dangerous periods of any day for most Americans. And it is rarely acknowledged on a wide scale.
Yes, Halloween is the deadliest day of the year for child pedestrians—great advice from @mcbazacophd.bsky.social

The way my elderly neighbor talks to me suggests she may have identified me as a woman on some occasions and as a man on others, and has thereby gotten the idea that a straight couple lives in my house, and that I am either dating or married to a second instance of myself.

My absolute favorite thing about Rise of Skywalker is the character Ochi (who you won't recall because he's barely mentioned/featured but he ties the ENTIRE forward momentum of the plot together)
This is someone's explanation of Ochi and what he did

We literally do disagree about this, though. Some politicians want to take food from children and some politicians don't. Pretending this "isn't political" just allows the child-starving ghouls to get away with it.
Tell people who supports the *political program* to feed children and who doesn't!
