I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video.
I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.
But I do know that this isn’t sustainable. Abolish ICE. There is no way to reform this.

I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video.
I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.
But I do know that this isn’t sustainable. Abolish ICE. There is no way to reform this.

The majority of mass shooters have a history of violence against women. Learning this about the Manchester attacker was not surprising to me.
Sexual violence should garner much more outrage. Because victims deserve that and public safety depends on it.

A totalitarian movement must never achieve its goals, as that would eliminate the need for the movement itself. Even in victory, new enemies must be created in order to justify further cruelty and domination.
A grim reminder: these people will never be satisfied. There’s no point at which they will say “we’ve won, let’s enjoy life.” They will always be looking for someone else to punish, to revile, to dehumanize. They’re empty without that.

The term antisemitism is not a “diversionary tactic”—but this kind of gotcha reply is! Term was popularized in 1880s w the founding of the League of Antisemites. It specifically means opposition to Jews as a people. We can oppose genocide w/o erasing this history or denying reality of antisemitism
And it needs to be restated - Palestinians are Semites too so the motivation of those decrying Israel’s behaviour cannot be anti- semitism. It’s starting to look as though the term anti- semitism is a diversionary tactic to deflect the conversation from the reality that anti-Zionism is the correct
