A project I cleared my schedule for is taking some time to get off the ground, so I’m once again open for contract work. Need a writer/editor/localizer? Let me make your women angrier and your bisexuals more chaotic.

Forgot I yelled “grow your own penis!”
right before we cut the mics on the latest episode of worker’s lit

Extremely sick that my first official ep as third mic we discussed Lee Mandelo’s back breaker of a historical novella.
Our episode on “Woods All Black” by the amazing @leemandelo.bsky.social just dropped!

Truly a book for the moment, it mixes queer rage, southern gothic horror, and resistance against the rising fascist tide in a truly special blend d. This episode (and book) are a blast!

Dialogue choices are literally the most fundamental aspect of game design. Go play a King’s Quest game and get some culture in you
November 10, 2025 at 10:47 PM
Suggesting that dialogue choices are bad game design is like saying that jump buttons are. Sure, there are plenty of good games that don’t have a jump button, but suggesting that its inclusion would be negative or disruptive when implemented well is just a fucking ludicrous take.

I’m trying to geolocate the discourse and it seems to be some guy wrote a novel-length article about how dialogue choices are bad writing. My takeaway is it could have used a couple dialogue choices to break up the pacing

This is out of character for me because usually when I see a movie over two hours I’m like “this could have been an email” but I honestly think GDT’s Frankenstein should have been a mini-series. The stuff that was the most interesting went by way too fast

Disco Elysium blowing up the way it did should be evidence that there’s no predicting the games market. Imagine trying to tell a money guy that game of the year was gonna be an Estonian visual novel by communists where you can pet the mailbox and say “I want to make fuck with you”

"dems cave but the republicans won't let them" is the funniest possible way this ends, which is why it now has a non-zero chance of happening

Do I think del toro’s Frankenstein was a particularly good adaptation? No. Did I have a great time watching it? Yes.

Me: okay so del toro’s frankenstein was fun but the end was ass

My wife: Aysha, that’s his blorbo, do you think he was going to make him sad

It's cool how we keep proving over and over and over again that there's a significant market for narrative-heavy, character-driven, single-player experiences in video games and publishers just categorically refuse to believe us
