So considering that Jesse Jackson was also protesting a democratic president targeting and detaining immigrants in concentration camps OVER 30 YEARS AGO, is it still just a talking point for “white leftists” or…….?

Reverend Jesse Jackson is an ancestor now. The titans we studied in our history books are gone and we’re all we have left. We’re called to fight, but we’re also called to hope.

We’re our only hope.

Rest well, Reverend Jackson, and we’ll see you in the morning.

Jesse Jackson is gonna get slandered a lot today by "the others."

Please dont help them.

The problem with getting old is that you dont get to die young in all your glory and best days.

People get to see your full humanity and imperfections.

Like normal

Since Brother Jesse passed at 84 this morning.

i think jesse jackson was one of the most important american political figures of the post-war era and i think that his 1984 and 1988 campaigns for the democratic nomination still have a great deal to teach about forging a path to a more egalitarian world. RIP.

Folks, with the death of Jesse Jackson, let's not fill up the timeline with eulogies of Jesse Jackson from people (us, white folks) who never really knew him. Let's (us, white folks) instead fill the timeline by reposting our Black neighbors' words and memories of him.

Rest easy Reverend.
