Hadley Rille, landing site of the Apollo 15 mission, and one of my favourite features to try and image.
It's quite tiny, nestled in the foothills of the Apennine mountains, and needs good seeing to get a decent shot.

Florida Northern Lights: Northern lights have come to Florida skies. In fact, the brilliant streak of a Northern Taurid meteor flashes through the starry night sky above the beach in this sea and skyscape, captured from Shired Island, FL on Nov 11.

Universal basic income is nothing less than a goddamn human right just as much as universal healthcare and education are. And I don't care if anyone works less because we should be working less. We should have shorter weeks instead of bullshit jobs. We have the productive capacity to meet ALL NEEDS.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

Some #Aurora shots from last night. These were taken with a #Nikon #z8 and 14mm lens at f/4, 8 secs, ISO 3200. So bright we were able to see and watch the movement with our eyes. #astrophotograpy #colorado

No aurora here at 28 degrees North, unsurprisingly. What we do have is rare cold stable air. I'm getting what I think are the last few hours on Sharpless 240, 'the Spaghetti Nebula' a faint supernova remnant in Taurus. I'm approaching 120 hours on target for a four panel mosaic.

So this happened an hour ago. I don’t think I’ve seen red this deep in a long time. You could see it quite clearly with the naked eye. #aurora

I really need to get to bed, but I just poked my head out the back door again. This is the view from my deck. All of this is looking south. When the geomagnetic storms are like this, the oval overshoots me and stretches into the US, which is why so many are seeing it tonight. #aurora
