It’s not just about whether or not you have a kid in the district, it’s about whether or not cops should be paid so much more with a covered family health insurance plan over teachers who get so much less and pay $1400 month for dependent health coverage.

I appreciate advocacy for Section 230 but please do not go about it like Taylor Lorenz on Twitter. It’s fair to acknowledge that the mainstream left hasn’t talked much about SESTA/FOSTA or Section 230 but it’s not *no one* and just waving away stakeholders as totally irrelevant just plain sucks.

This astroturf org has been writing op-eds in the chronicle and making comments everywhere that absolutely undermine the current teacher strike. Real parents who aren’t backed by billionaires + obscene generational wealth understand labor struggles and solidarity.
The San Francisco Parent Coalition, led by Meredith Dodson (connected to the wealthy Parnassus Investments family), presents itself as a "grassroots" organization but is funded by billionaires including Michael Moritz and Mimi Haas.
