It’s not just that winter is dark and cold, it’s also death by a million emails. The only people who truly love this time of year are the people sending the emails.

It’s beyond outrageous that Apple Pay, PayPal, Venmo, and Google Pay all process payments for this explicitly nazi take on Magic cards. Their website blurs the *extreme* racial slurs but everything is advertised freely on Twitter. I won’t even repost the worst cards, they are vile

“Border Patrol entering structures without a warrant is an escalation of attacks against life-saving humanitarian aid as well as a clear violation of the Fourth Amendment protections that everyone, regardless of legal status, is protected under”

New article by @maxgranger.info on the recent raid.
Border Patrol raids No More Deaths aid camp, arrests three people
The raid is the first time NMD aid workers have witnessed agents breaking into constitutionally protected structures without a warrant—a significant escalation against humanitarian aid at the border.

Whistle + zine distribution has the immediate effect of alerting people to ICE raids + protecting the community and the downstream effect of bolstering the culture war against ICE generally.
Trump's white nationalist aides are churning out vile videos glorifying migrant suffering. But Trump-MAGA are *losing* the online culture wars over deportations, because the humane side is info-warring better.

If new proposals detailed in an FDA memo are put into place, experts told me it would mean the end of annual flu shots. And end of most vaccines for pregnant people. And maybe the end of updates to pneumonia vaccines. And more.

Some 600 immigrant kids have been sent to federal custody by ICE this year.

A 17-year-old was detained at a traffic stop because officers couldn’t make contact with his dad, who is deaf.

Another kid ended up in a shelter after making a wrong turn.

About a dozen parents and children here at Vancouver city hall this morning for a change-in protest in response to the city looking at removing change tables and hygiene stations. Today, council votes on the 2026 budget that would see a zero percent property tax increase.
