The Trump Admin wants to turn the clock back to 2008 and let Wall Street run wild.

We all know how that ended – with taxpayers bailing out Wall Street while millions lost their homes and got fired from their jobs.

Donald Trump could be setting the stage for the next crash.
Bessent: "These 2008, 2009, 2010 financial rules were too tight. They hamstrung the American financial system. It was time for a change ... we have to take the financial system out of this straitjacket ... the regulated system is too constrained."

This is good, but DCU is really, again, behind much of the league this off season.

Instead, they spent today getting fans to commit to going to Baltimore to see Messi. Ugh.

I'm very tired of repeating myself about this, but, as someone who works professionally on housing affordability, this is a disgusting lie.
Vance: "Why have rents gone down for 4 consecutive months? Because we're starting to get those illegal aliens out of the USA. Those criminals, those gang members, those people that are taking homes that ought by right go the people in this room. It's simple economics."

WOW. So this is obviously a huge violation of this man's rights, and it illustrates a few things we're seeing broadly:

- DHS officers are ignoring peoples' IDs and instead requiring screening through their own systems
- Confirms @404media.co's reports of use of DHS's facial recognition app.

Though let's be clear. Mortgage rates are not historically high. It's supply. We bought houses in the 80s and 90s because we buil them.

This such an important book. I used excerpts in my class this semester. It offers a solid foundation for where we are now. (And another great book one of my kids gave me.)
I'm in the middle of this right now, and while I may have lived through some of the history (and recall much of it in broad strokes) it's providing an in-depth class on the catastrophe of the US' postwar meddling in central america...

The implications of this are simple. Affordable housing isn’t free. Any commitment to inclusionary zoning that isn’t also a commitment to a robust gap financing program is a de facto tax on housing.
