Local legislation for the 2026 leg session has been posted. These bills will have local bill hearings this fall on Dec 4th and Dec 11th. These bills only impact Montgomery or—in some cases—Montgomery and Prince George’s. Review the bills here:

680,000 Marylanders including 270,000 children benefit from the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP, previously known as food stamps). It is good news that between court decisions and state reserve funds, Governor Moore has stepped up to ensure full benefits for November.

I have been serving on the DMV Moves Task Force over the past 18 months or so. The Task Force has been working to address the Metro/WMATA funding issues related to the region’s 2018 $500 million commitment.

As part of my work on the DMV Moves Task Force—a regional transit funding study group—I am at Union Station this morning for a regional rail meeting. One of the topics is Maryland’s commuter rail system—all three of the lines of which connect to Union Station—MARC Rail.

District 16’s Little Flower school is one of the state’s Blue Ribbon schools, declared by Governor Moore at the state level after the national program was shutdown.
