just trying to figure some things out right now
you should go watch Budda Baker and Myles Jack in the same HS backfield running the wing t as the two rushing options. Or you can go watch people try and tackle HS running back Vita Vea.

the very nature of sports is that you will run into people who are bigger, faster, stronger, etc.
It has been beyond endlessly frustrating for me, a former professional athlete, that not a single Dem could muster the courage to say “what the fuck is wrong with you, sports are inherently unfair to begin with, let kids play with their friends”

The commercialization of youth sports is a downstream reaction to the financialization of higher education, which incentivizes upper middle class families to "invest" in coaching/training for children to compete for scholarships with the goal to offset 6-figure tuition costs. In this essay I will...
One of the things that personally drives me crazy in the U.S. is how youth sports/athletic activities went from a part of the public good (municipal leagues and fields! rec centers! public parks!) to a privatized, expensive, highly competitive, highly structured pursuit for wealthy kids’ résumés
NBC ran a piece where Mary Carrillo went to Norway to find out why they're so good at the Winter Olympics and i was yelling BECAUSE IT'S COLD THERE

then she went to a little tiny ski jump for kids and was like "it's free, equipment is provided, & they don't emphasize results"

and i was like.

We should be getting excited for the season two or three premiere of the Asajj Ventress show instead of still hoping one gets made!
They should make an Asajj Ventress TV show

So SCOTUS, with its fabricated-out-of-thin-air immunity doctrine, has actually made American presidents less accountable than LITERAL royalty.

No government funding for USA Olympic athletes
Only the top few athletes in many sports get funding from their federations, and they still need to pick up sponsorships to make a good living.
Many potential Olympians quit bc normie jobs make more money.
And you don't really hear about it on NBC!
Is it still true that American assists and subsidizes its Olympic athletes much more poorly than most other countries?

it's so funny to try to legitimize a moronic argument by claiming that it is supported by a growing movement of diverse thinkers and then you list the people who belong to that movement and every single one is stupid and/or racist

This is the kind of thing white supremacists have been doing to Emmett Till’s memorial for decades.

It’s wild to see them do this to a white woman who the entire world saw extrajudicially murdered.
