I voted by mail a little while ago. The ballot for Philadelphia was some local positions that were pretty straightforward, then LOTS of judges on the ballot, either for retention or being voted in. It's hard to find info about all of these. The Inquirer did a nice guide. Here's a gift link:

there has never been a presidency that has spent more time on LGBTQ issues as this Trump administration. they are wholly obsessed with queer people. the time/effort on LGBTQ issues is coming 97% from the right.

i'm so fucking tired of the gaslighting on this. why does everyone have this backwards?
Duh. Those of us on the ground last year actually speaking with middle class/working class voters and who heard from these voters every single day the same - “Trump is an asshole, but Democrats are out of touch” - could’ve saved my new political party a lot of time & money producing this “report.”👇

It was a double-voting kind of day for me.

First, I finished my research, filled out and mailed in my PA ballot (with a bunch of Yes votes).

Then, I searched my musical soul to vote in WXPN's Greatest Cover Song Countdown! It was tough to narrow my list down. There are SO many amazing covers!

This guy is good at social media trolling, but HORRIBLE about protecting the vulnerable.

PLEASE find someone better to be the Dem nominee in 2028. There are much better folks to choose from, and many queer people won't vote for this guy even though queer folks make up a very loyal Dem voting bloc.

CBS News will now be a megaphone for the country's most vicious crusader against free speech, and the most relentless propagandist of far-right disinformation.

Cancel Paramount Plus, call every CBS advertiser until their only remaining ads are for MyPillow and Daily Stormer.

As a reminder for PA voters, vote Yes to retain all three PA Supreme Court justices. Billionaires are flooding the zone saying we need term limits for judges, but their term limits are literally what we're voting on! Don't be duped!
No need to be scared of him. The trend is clear - everyone outside of his hard base is abandoning him.

I just got a VERY interesting email that allies in congress were upset that so many of my readers were calling about the anti-trans provisions. I'm here to say: good. I won't let them throw our rights under the bus by cover of night.

All's that to say, keep up the calls. They're hearing you.
1. It's shutdown day, and anti-trans provisions are on the line... either today, or in a few more weeks if a clean continuing resolution passes.

Trump posted a video this morning blaming a shutdown on trans people and immigrants.

Here is your shutdown guide.

The same bs they're spewing about autism and tylenol is the same bs they're spewing about trans people's healthcare. It's the exact same playbook and the fact that the media can see through one and not the other is a damning indictment of how complicit they are in the attack on trans lives.

This is absolutely true. If the NYT covered this the way they covered trans care, you all would finally understand what dangerous shit their trans care coverage has been.
i have to say, as a trans journalist who has covered the "trans debate" for about a decade now, there is no daylight between how the trump administration and conservatives lie about tylenol and autism and how they've lied about youth trans care.

When I say Dems are voting to ban trans rights, I mean they are voting to ban ALL trans rights.

Included in the military funding bill are these provisions impacting trans people in the military:

- A bathroom ban
- A ban on correct gender markers on forms
- A healthcare ban
- A sports ban

hi, cis folks!

this is present day reality for UK trans folks. it’s outrageous someone should have to have taken this journey to live as themselves, participate in society, & be with who they love.

hi, cis americans!

this is a future trans americans see that starts with “we need to compromise.”
I want to explain a few things and then it might be clearer why UK trans people are upset.

Every single word of this brilliant post.

Dems yell about "purity testing" Newsom, but if Option A is trans people are destroyed and Option B is trans people are destroyed only slower and more insidiously, do trans folks even have a choice??

It's not a purity test; it's our fucking survival.
